honeymoon is alive

This is unpopular but I don't really mind Ben's updates, we know not to take them too seriously but they also are nice reminders that an album really is coming, even if it's not our definition of soon 

I feel like Ben’s problem is he can’t talk about Lana without also talking about new music. If he’d just post about her achievements (W magazine, the Hollywood bowl concert, her billboard chart milestone) without adding “new music soon” to every single one, fans wouldn’t be so irritated

When Ben says soon he really means that it’s like 7 months away. He said Ellie Goulding had new music coming out soon in January, and it didn’t come out until July. 

ben is being truthful when he says new music soon because he plans on leaking crazy for you later today

like we all know it's not coming soon ben can say that 100 times everyday and we know it's a lie guys let's just expect things for ther next year because it's what's realistic

our longest album wait was between lust for life & norman f***ing rockwell! (25 months) but ever since then we have been spoiled. we got violet 11 months after norman, chemtrails 8 months after violet & blue banisters 7 months after chemtrails. i am fine waiting for as long as lana needs before another album. we know she is working on new music which is enough for me. some other artists i like wait 3-4 years between releases so i feel lucky that lana does not make us wait that long ever. i am impatient for news but i know it will come when it comes & it will be worth the wait.

I wonder if she might be encouraged to go back to a btd type of sound after all the success she’s been seeing (and her label). There must be some sort of internal discussions.

As long as her sales stay consistent I really don’t think her label is going to put a lot of pressure on her to release a specific kind of song.
 
LMLYLAW and COTCC (two slower songs) were the only singles off Chemtrails before the album dropped, and that album still managed to break records when it comes to vinyl sales. 
 
in my opinion, the only thing the label is going to do is make sure physicals are available when the album drops (so no surprise/digital only drop) because that’s basically all the income they get from Lana. She doesn’t tour, and no offense to her, but I can’t see her merch bringing in a whole lot of money 

i hope she just has random posters put up all around major cities randomly w the album cover title and date for us to see when the rollout actually starts

btd has always been successful and there's various songs from her discography going viral, not only from btd
 
they definitely wanted her to go back to this type of sound (meeting with adele's producer for ultraviolence, asking her to record an extra radio friendly song for honeymoon) but she proved them wrong on several occassions so i don't even think there's any discussions of this sort at this point in her career nor it should be

I don’t mind waiting. But saying “coming soon” repeatedly irks me. Just don’t tease anything unless it’s like a month away or so.

Well, if the lead single of an album comes out in the next six months, « soon » was not a lie. Unless you’re Sky Ferreira 
seriously, guys, it’s surely the calm before the storm: the album for 2023 is a sure bet, a poetry book is probably coming also, the cover album has some songs already recorded, and there are surely collabs /
side tracks that could be out in the meantime. True, it’s a bit dry at the moment, but we’ll be fed, I’m sure.
