I really think the Bazaar December 2023 photoshoot was a first glimpse into the aesthetic for this era. Kind of like the black and white beach photoshoot she did for W Mag before even announcing Ocean Blvd.

Thinking of all the Lipsters who are still snoozing away in dreamland, unaware of the news that awaits them in the morning.. I can already envision them logging onto LanaBoards.com for their daily digest and groggily seeing “Lasso Pre-Release Thread: OUT September 2024” on their homepage and having to do a double take

I’m not even believing this will be titled Lasso in 9 months. Plus, OB wait was like 4 months long, and it delayed for like 2 weeks. maybe that is proportional? idk, only time can, and will tell

January 31st: Lana Del Rey has announced the title of her newest record "Lasso" during the NMPA x Billboard Songwriter Awards + Showcase. The album will be a country record with production by Jack Antonoff set for release in September 2024.
 

 
What we know so far:
- In a journal entry dated March 28th, 2023 posted on Instagram, Jack Antonoff wrote that "Lana refuses to leave [the studio]"
-  Lana Del Rey has revealed to a fan while at a Waffle House in Florence, Alabama that she is "working on a new recording" in July 2023. Later that month, she visited Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Sheffield, Alabama where she recorded 3-4 songs.
- In November 2023, Lana Del Rey hung out with Luke Laird, a country music producer/songwriter, in Nashville. They later visited again in January.
- In January 2024, Lana Del Rey stated she was working on new songs with Jack Antonoff in an Instagram story post.

Im still not « over the moon » with this new project TBH, but at least she posted Henry, Come On before announcing it was a country LP coming next. I really like what we heard so far, so I’m not « scared » . Plus it sure was coming at some point, so it’s not really a surprise

I’m sure she will end up changing the title, if this even gets released (we know how she is). But omg I really don’t want her to!! I’m obsessed with the title “Lasso” it’s super simple but it just evokes an image in a way that Ocean Blvd did not
