So originally she was planning to release the Preacher's Daughter b-sides last summer that would tell about Ethel's high school years and her relationship with Willoughby (ethel's ex a house in nebraska is about), but she scrapped them and is currently reworking them so she'll release a different project before them
The upcoming project is unrelated to the Ethel Cain lore and the songs confirmed to be on it are Amber Waves and Punish, the only potential title we have for it is 'Perverts' and is hopefully coming soon
The b-sides, which are probably pushed to 2025 will supposedly include Dust Bowl and a 20 min version of Waco, Texas (we currently have a 6 min demo she shared)

As a queer girl myself, seeing someone who is so unapologetically a lesbian blow up in the way that Chappell has feels so rewarding. I've been listening to her since around the time Midwest Princess came out because I saw a clip from the Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl visualizer on TikTok and was immediately into it. She just gets it. I'm so excited to see what she does next (really hoping that she releases Subway ) 

Her rise to fame has been so crazy (and very well deserved). I remember thinking back in september when her album dropped that she was gonna gain like Rina Sawayama level fame but it really went way beyond that. Haven’t been this excited for a celebrity in a while tbh, everything she does has been so intentional and thought out, which I feel like we haven’t seen in a pop girl in a long while.

there has been a noticeable shift in the amount of petty arguments and personal attacks on users, spam posts & trolling recently and it’s made the site unenjoyable for some and difficult to moderate at times. we just want a fun atmosphere with *sensible* disagreement if there is any 

This is definitely not about one specific event, argument, thread, etc. Like around the time the Taylor thread got locked, then at least two others around the same time, then the Zodiac leak and the tensions there. Then some users get banned. It really never cooled down after. The mod team has dealt with quite a few incidents since that necessitated this post.

I wanted to check in with you all about the recent rise in drama that the mod team and I have noticed over the past couple of weeks. It appears that drama on the site among members is at a peak, so I wanted to pop in and remind you all that LanaBoards won't tolerate certain types of behaviour.
It seems that the drama is especially high in other artists' threads and in world news threads, especially when it comes to hot-topic debates. While LanaBoards welcomes opinions and discussions of different viewpoints, it is important that these opinions are shared and discussed in a respectful manner. As stated in our rules, LanaBoards will not tolerate any posts that are meant to be purposely inflammatory (flaimbaiting to intentionally start an argument) rude, hateful, insulting, or otherwise crossing a line, and members violating this rule will be warned and given restrictions at our discretion. This is something the moderator team is going to be taking very seriously as it is our mission to have LanaBoards be a safe and welcoming space for all.
Something we've especially been noticing a rise in is personal attacks towards other members and people including other artists, which is something we won't tolerate. Let this serve as a reminder that behind the usernames and profile pictures, we are all real people with real feelings. There's no need to make things personal.
