be serious 😭 the film was unnecessary and the plot made zero sense.. she'd be much better off making individual music videos for each track (with a storyline connecting them all PERHAPS.. id prefer a more mild storyline but wbk mel's super into her character so).. i think she'd also be more creatively fulfilled that way.. melanie just isn't a filmmaker

not much of a merch guy but I do buy my favorite albums on vinyl, there’s something about holding an album that means something to you in your hands 

with CD's i like collecting them because i actually enjoy listening to them, as well of the fact that i find them charming
i tend to not usually collect vinyl but if i do buy vinyl it's either because it's not available on CD, supporting the artist, or there's something exclusive about it (such as an alternative cover or something)
i usually only buy merch i would wear

For a while I would only buy clothing or accessories because I don't have a record player and CDs and cassettes would just take up space lol
 
I usually try to buy one CD or cassette from each of Lana's albums (with the cover I like the most) just to support the sales 
 
When there's a lot to choose from (LDR village) I will only buy things I actually like/would possibly wear, or might just be very unique, but if there's smaller amounts of merch (like the most recent drop) I'll buy the things that I do indeed like, but also things I know will be of high value later. Not to resell, but just to have as part of my collection 
 
Ocean blvd is the first album I've actually bought vinyls for, because I love the covers so much lol 

I used to be really into collecting and merch but I find nowadays artists don't put as much effort into merch anymore or put effort into really random items that no one is ever gonna use of buy
 
For me to really want to buy merch these days it would have to be something quite special or something I'd wear or get use of often

not trying to defend her but we honestly dont know whats going on behind the scenes and sometimes yall are just flat out horrible

I only buy the vinyl from my favourite artists because I like the physicality of ownership that comes with a record you can just put on in your living room. Everything else, like t-shirts or jewelry (as cool as they may be), I wouldn’t really wear anywhere lol.

Well, I grew up illegally downloading music every day since i was probably like 8. I'll buy physical copies because A) I feel bad for illegally downloading and B) I like holding the album even if I'm still using the digital files more often to listen. 
I'll buy merch of anyone I consider a top fav (so far I only have t shirts of Britney and Kesha and I bought a hoodie at the Palisades concert i was at on Saturday last week)

hmmm i think it's more it wasn't necessary , it bugs me less than when it was first released because at the time it also felt like another attempt of Lana "defending" herself (which always ended up with herself getting in more trouble somehow) i think her idea could've been stated in a different way since it is a sensitive and hot topic. When it was first released i remember a lot of people on here thinking the same but i think since it isn't as relevant as it was when Textbook was released the opinion might have changed.

i totally get where you're coming from on the whole tone-deaf issue but i disagree, i think songs should be examined in the context of the song itself or perhaps the album they're on.. but it isn't fair to say a lyric is tone-deaf because of the things an artist has chosen to do in their personal life (e.g. how you said the lyric just "feels icky" because of things like QFTC and her comments on dating rappers, etc) - that's a subjective thing that's unique to you, so i think it's a fairly valid opinion that the lyric feels icky/tone-deaf.. it being a valid opinion doesn't make it a valid objective statement about the lyric 
 
because really, all the lyric does is provide a setting for the song/explains lana's thoughts.. i think your argument insinuates (correct me if it doesn't) that artists should filter their truth in order to appease people who would feel a certain way about what they're saying even if that feeling was unwarranted, which is just an opinion that i dont resonate with at all

Mon Laferte or Myrkur
 
Mon Laferte recently said she’d like to collab with Lana, and Lana followed her on IG. Two alt-pop girls with a vintage flair, bringing together Lana’s “americana“ references and Mon’s “latin” roots would make an epic collab. 
 
Myrkur also answered “Lana Del Rey” when asked in an interview who she’d like to collab with. A few songs from the “Mareridt” album gave a Paradise/UV vibe, “Crown” and “Juniper” in particular. I’d love to hear Lana’s voice over metal. A scream-off between the two, Myrkur’s black metal shrieks vs Lana’s “Dealer” style yells, would be awesome and goosebump inducing.
