When Lasso is an acronym for "Lizzy's Amazing Sweet Songs Out (Now)" and Lana announces an AKA re-release/ unreleased album

So the exclusive insider info is that Lana has decided to scrap Lasso and has fired Jill Stroganoff as the producer and is now locked in a bitter feud with Shylor Crypt. So she's apparently planning a dark bitter revengeful album with Ultraviolent vibes and is working with Dan Hourback. These are the titles revealed so far :

Agreeeee. Especially about The Diner, since it's so extra creepy that it's allegedly or possibly based on her real life experiences of being stalked, aka from a stalker's POV. Maybe her most eerie song to me!

It's probably my AOTY. Since I am listening to this 80% of the time since it's been released it's reminding me of when NFR had dropped and I listened to it literally every free and awake minute I had, for a week straight. Omg. HTE was my very fav Billie project, but this _is_ her best thing yet I fear.

The only one that really doesn’t click with me is birds of a feather so I’m really surprised people think it should be the radio hit and in the top 5

I can’t place my top 5 as they keep shifting as I continuously listen to the album.. at first my favourite was lunch.. then it switched to l’amour la vie and now the diner is rising to the top spot

other firm favourites are ofcourse blue, the greatest and bitter suite

birds of a feather has dropped into skip status

    Pitchfork really blew it tho.

At one point, the critic complains about Chihiro not having a chorus.

Are we in 1938 and do the songs have to have a classic structure? Ridiculous.

Does anyone think eleventh hour could be on the 2nd half of the double album since Phineas said it would be on the next album. In that interview he also mentioned born Blue which did end up being on the album and another one called tell me what I wanna hear maybe that one too that would be interesting if the second half revived some other scrapped songs like hit me hard and soft did with true blue and blue. Yes ik it was originally for Phineas's album but I think it would be interesting if it ended up on billies

on a realer note, imagine if lana did release lasso under may jailer and nobody knew like it just sat quietly on some website like bandcamp and we didn't check
if that ever happens where lana drops an album under another name, can we keep the posts/threads about it to a minimum so articles don't write about it and it doesn't spread all over socials? because as soon as it hits twitter, some twat will make 48 articles about it like they did mariah carey

I just came back from a week-long couples retreat with Lana. We had quite a lot of wino, and she opened up, an said Lasso is still there, only a bit more hip-hop infused. "Obviously," she said with a twang, as she sipped her Merlot by the crackling fireplace, "I'm not gon' be jumping on a fuckin' bandwagon."  And I said "Hellz, yeah, queen-mother!" Then we high-fived each other and listened to some Chilli Peppers.

i just had an 11 hour facetime with Lana and she revealed to me that her Lasso album title has been changed to "I Lasso Your Heart Out While I Listen To Surf Noir and Drink Spicy Vodka Pasta and Contemplate The Existence of Me Being", she also said that the album comes out with a 3 hour, David Lynch directed, feature film music video, featuring a scene of Lana eating a banana for seven minutes. There is also a Psychedelic Surf Trip Hop Taylor Swift Diss Track but you can only listen to it if you purchase both the Sea Foam Alt Indie Exclusive Vinyl and the Cream Latte Cowboy Juice UO Exclusive Vinyl at the same time on November 9th at 6:19 p.m.

I just got off the phone with Lana and she told me the album is coming on September 13th, but it's actually called Laseaux. Sonically it's a mixture of Arkansas banjo, Milwaukee hiphop, and Beverly Hills housewives. Some of the songs are "Lily Pond Lane", "Shotgun Wedding", "I'm Afraid of Little Old You", and "Elon Musk (feat. Grimes).

A new fake insider (who in a fresh creative twist speaks directly to Lana herself)oh the pre-release prophecy is moving right along. News is coming soon!🚀

I’ve watched the interview again and I also don’t think lasso is cancelled (though maybe it won’t be called lasso anymore haha)
I think her response was to him saying she going country and she is saying that at the time it was country driven but now it’s not quite that and more in the vein of American songbook.. and she also made a comment in the other interview about how she thinks spoken word, beat poetry is going to be the next thing in music.. so maybe she’s hinting towards that a bit
I think maybe the reception to her announcing the album was cold- I remember saying that after watching the clip, but wasn’t sure if that was just standard etiquette for the award show she was at! And yeah, maybe she was worried about the public reception to her going country seemingly after other big artists have done first

so yeah, I just hope it’s still coming September whatever sound we’re getting, I was warming to the country idea but honestly, an Americana sound would excite me more anyway
