If you love Jacks work you’re entitled to. It’s a massive  on how you’re always hurt by these opinions though. Anyway it’s all love ❤️

thats literally what u do with Jack. Stfu already. Somehow only her work with jack sounds basically the same so whos the one that doesnt want her to "evolve"?

Lmao I no longer want you to leave this site because it's funny watching you rage about a fucking producer.
Literally no-one said they wanted her to recreate anything, they just said they miss the vibes and the drama. Calm down betty

I am so fucking excited for June 1.

I choose to believe this comes out June 1st and I also choose to believe it’s coming out on marilyns birthday intentionally

Fair enough. Personally I don't really have any expectations for Lana anymore- not to be too negative but I don't think she can reach or exceed her old peaks. The golden age of LDR is over. Of course I wish to be proven wrong by RCS but... not mad or surprised if it's a dud with a sloppy rollout

It’s honestly so fucking hard to follow her. I mean, RCS is a project coming out of the blue and supposedly dropping real soon.
we were expecting a cover album, a country one maybe, a second audiobook. Plus she seemed so tired in January in the Annie Mac interview, plus the other interviews where she said she didn’t know what the next move is... And now, on Insta, she is all in on country vibes... and we really don’t know if RCS will be in those veins.

Yooooo, what we're NOT gonna do, is drag @Aphrodites opinion!! Sis made good points and poured their valid emotions.
    Period!! Well said!!

I understand what you mean. I think it’s in line with what I’m saying also: we need something bigger for RCS, especially when it’s supposedly a summer album. Love NFR and Chemtrails, but those two really are toned down in terms of production and after Chemtrails, to go directly to country-folk would be too slow in my opinion. After Hm, she needed to change the pace a bit and she did, even if some of us really don’t like how “all over the place” this album is (it’s not my opinion because I connected with this album). I really love Chemtrails but I don’t listen to it as much as Norman, sadly.
like you said, I’m not against country because she knows what she is doing (I wasn’t that eager for Summer Bummer because it’s not my favourite genre and yet, I love the song, and BUS surprised me in a good way).

same i've never particularly hated jack but i do want something different. i don't want more low key songs like cocc had. cocc is good and i like it much better now that i've heard it on replay over and over but still-- we need something different. if jack can get out of his comfort zone and let lana push HIM, then maybe... because he has good melodies, it's just his instrumentation and building off of stuff instead of stopping at a place where it's recorded and it's had it's "finishing touches". maybe if laura sisk took a more co-production role rather than mixing role, she could add a different touch to it that might brighten it up some

I've never been a jack hater and I don't think I ever will be, but I will admit that I think we need something fresh for this album. and by something fresh, i'm thinking zach dawes

At this point people need to calm tf down about Lana “evolving” and crucifying anybody who would like to see an older sound return... Lana has dabbled in many genres and has received critical acclaim for it! Fans expressing that it would be cute too revisit an old sound means nothing... at the end of the day she will always be in control it’s just a preference people have

agreed, you and jack both need to fuck off

I think we saw how much she’s “evolved” when we listened to COCC and it was undistinguishable from NFR. Like...the same exact album.

so when that happens I think people are perfectly reasonable for wanting her to switch it up
  17. pwussi liked a post in a topic by bel air rose in Blue Banisters - Pre-Pre-Release Thread
actually we want her to evolve... without jack

this entire rant sounds like mental gymnastics considering we’ve been asking for zach who is a new producer lol

also yeah some of us want a more glamorous/ cinematic production, why should we feel bad about that??? that sound was the entire reason for her and her label to create the persona/ name “lana del rey”

She has not relatively produced anything that’s “insane” with Jack besides VB I think... I’m curious to see how this plays out with the whole revenge concept

imo it's good for taylor, and it works for her sound, but i don't have any interest in lana having the same or similar production (again lol since jack's production is very recognizable). and to me taylor's voice is still the star or the main drawing point (??? i might be wrong) of folklore/evermore.
also i've never listened to either of them all the way through (in fact today was the first day i voluntarily listened to any of the songs) just because it hasn't interested me.... thus you can see why i don't want jack to produce (another) country/folk record for lana  it's not that they're bad, just not enthralling or interesting to me personally

    daddy zach however

    "Let Lana evolve!"
This is just my opinion, but I don't think anybody is trying to stop her from doing that. While I love NFR (my favorite lana album) and COCC and I don't think that they sound the same, they are similar sonically. If anything, I think wanting this album to be different from the previous two would be letting and wanting lana to evolve rather than stifling that. it is perfectly fine for fans to want the album to be something different than NFR and COCC/want it to have elements from previous works besides those two.

i want her to evolve, but to ME it doesn't seem like she's evolving a lot with jack. evolving SOME of course but not like radical change.... so asking her to stick with jack is kinda also asking her to recreate your favorite sounds

and anyways i want zach who she's never worked with on a full (released) album before so it would have to be an evolution

what better to synchronize confectionaries w a variety of vices vices vices it's almost 3 in the morning I mean drugz I need sleep but yes. oh fuck, I'm saying we need a hyper hippie trippy album, like UV but a lot more refined n cold yet playful in tone.

As much as I like COCC, I don't want another Jack album. Like at all. I still find his production to be lackluster and boring even though I find the subtlety perfect and beautiful on COCC. I want something more, something that'll burn, burn hot and singe into my mind. I want something that'll beat me, and Jack isn't capable of beating me. No I want something new and I'll be disappointed if we get Jacks production again, especially for a revenge album.

Anyways am I the only one who doesn't believe the twitter twink we're getting this info from.. the fact that they kept sharing new things makes me think they're just making stuff up for the attention. They could make anything up by this point cause its so early on and no one will clock them for it when the album finally releases

at least king rick served versatility  the 3 projects he produced for her all sound different and he brought something new to the table every time

Everyone can express their opinions and preferences because that's the reason we are members of LB, to share our opinions on  one of our favorite artists.
The thing though that feels strange to me is that critics seem to glorify Lana's new work and more minimalistic approach to production saying that her old or more dramatic sound was adding more to that ''sad persona''  or even mocking AKA and her image during that period. It saddens me and it also feels to me a little bit hypocritical  that critics used to trash her more grand imagery and  production in the start of her career or even focusing on more superficial things about her and not her music at all . Both a grand production and a minimal one can be praised , especially with Lana's work and evolution that can be seen from the start of her career. Lana has  always been great and did not start being great or ''songwriter'' material from NFR or from her collaboration with Jack ( or with any other producer really)  she has always been one . Every album is a part of her ongoing journey and we are just here for the ride .

(These are just my personal thoughts  )
