The only reason why I’d say I hold LA to the Moon to my heart more than those shows is cause I scored a front dead center spot right beside the steps and she came down to me first at the end of the show... I gave her a piece of paper that had the tweet of my phone number she favorited and never called from the “call you manana” tweets after the LFL preorders lmao... I wrote “tomorrow never came” with it and a smiley face and she laughed and signed my UV UO vinyl personally with my name right over the knee.... honestly a priceless moment ill never forget till I die :’)

reading kehlani's tweets again i think she called her out partly because she's upset about lana mentioning her. don't get me wrong, she did the right thing but the way she called her out so soon makes me think they were kind of waiting for an oportunity. btw, I don't think this is going to damage her career but imo people are going to remember this for quite some time and gonna keep calling her racist and all the stuff, and i'm PRAYING that she doesn't say anything too controversial in the books or the album bc this is too much already 

I rewatched the IG video and beside the entire mess, I want to mention the part where she said she feels sorry that the women she mentioned in her original statement really disagree with her. I just can’t at the fact that she had private convos with her “close” friends like Ariana and she doesn’t see in any way how her statements could be interpreted the wrong way. Like she’s probably lost friendships over something you can just take a step back from and maybe think over your stance on? You can still inform yourself in your 30s. I know it’s been talked about before, but I feel like things got heated in the DMs with multiple people. Not just in a GC with fans. Lana’s been through shit, that’s true, but her stubbornness and pride will be her downfall. I sympathize if she needs to take a step back for her mental health, but depression/anxiety doesn’t excuse ignorance.

Y'all here thinking Ariana was actually considering Lana as her friend.. It's better that this "friendship" ended

I really wanted a bit more depth and literary references from the lyrics of Alice I think that's my only disappointment with it really cause every other element is superb

Of course I am fully supportive of her attending protests, but I hope she's super careful because if anyone recognises her there I'm a bit concerned about what could happen considering how many people are angry at her over last week's debacle (and now the filming of looters).
 
I mean, I'm concerned for everyone at those protests, because ACAB, but she could be targeted if recognised.

especially since records and tapes have been becoming popular again, i hope people start to rely less on streaming as the norm. maybe i'm misinformed, but it feels unfair to artists that they earn so little from streaming. plus it's so scary to me that like if u purchase a digital copy of a movie on amazon or something if ur internet is out or u cancel your account etc, you don't have that movie anymore even tho u purchased it. i just hope we go back to reliance on physical copies of things in general 

some people really are hateful. valid criticisms are obviously fine but some people really take it to another level.

An instant classic. Love love the lyrics

Idk why but I really love this song. It puts me in a specific mood, love her voice in it and yeah the outro is pretty good and give me BTD vibes which is nice. But still think that the version Lana teased had more bass in it or her car has a really good sound system

The end of the world feeling...and love the lyrics ....this song hits different during the quarantine...
7. Love Song
Soft but BEAUTIFUL. Some of you call it the weakest of the album but it so beautiful

9.The Next Best American Record
The demo is still superior but it's interesting how her feelings for Barrie have changed. From "You did it all for fame" to " It was just that good". Sonically it is a good song though and yeah in the beginnig it was weird to listen to it bc of the demo
10. Doin' Time
A bop! Love that Lana gave us something to dance before she destroys us with the following tracks!
11. How to disappear
Well this song was my least fav for an amount of time but suddenly I started to like it and it's such a dreamy track. The instrumental part is beautiful and really enjoy the storytelling
12 . Happiness is a butterfly
Nice song. Glad that they put some instrumentals in it. Don't get me wrong I can enjoy Lana over a piano but the instrumentals added something to the atmosphere of the song and otherwise I think something would be missing.
13. Hope is a dangerous thing.....
Okay Hope is not a bad song. But I have to be in a specific mood to enjoy that song and it has not much replay value for me. Beside the album I only listen to it on a winter walk when it snows. It somehow fits the mood of the song. It's a good song and love her vocals at the end. If it would be Winter right now Hope would be on a higher place
14. Norman Fucking Rockwell
For me it is her weakest title track. The only part of the song that I really like is the outro and everytime she sings blue. Glad that they put the horns in it. They are amazing and somehow save the song for me. Can see why it's the title track and like the idea. Don't dislike the song and yeah over the last weeks/months the song has grown a little bit on me but still get bored especially by the chorus and during the 2nd verse. Sorry to say that but don't really get a connection to this song and it feels kinda 'lazy' and if this song would not be by Lana I wouldn't have tried to like it. But yeah the song is okay I guess. The funniest thing is that I liked the song for a short time after it's release but yeah it didn't aged that well.

I wonder if the Grammy « regret » not giving AOTY to NFR (probably not, but still), with the whole pandemic situation happening at the moment. Fuck It I love You and The Greatest kinda feel prophetic in a way: FIILY expresses how our modern way of living wanted more and that we were going to hit a wall, and TG expresses the loss of things passed, of the good things we used to have and that are now on hold.
Not that I dislike Billie’s album, but in these times, NFR sure seems more profound than her record.

Not a stan but I listen to her work. This is a general good sounding album. Lyrically she went full simple structure, but it suits the 00’s sound. Would love if Alice and 911 had more mysterious lyrics
