Norman Fucking Rockwell - Pre-Release Thread

Recommended Posts

But thats a production fault. If the song was produced by the right person it wouldn't sound dated. (and I think FROOT still sounds fresh but thats my opinion)

TFJ still sounds good because it was unique and had ut's own distinction. EH was gorgeous back in the day but the thrill of it is just worn off.

If any record was produced in a super bland way that'll grow old soon, it's FROOT. And now she's workibg with the likes of Clean Bandit and Emotional Machine already sounded boring and "dated" the time she performed it live for the first time.

Just do it. Just do it - don't wait!

Venice Bitch highlights

1)the soft and emotional prechorus "oh god miss you on my lips...bang bang kiss kiss"

2)the chorus itself

3)when the heavy instrumental comes and she sings the prechorus with almost anger

4)after this the melody with the synthesizer(?) in 3:20

5)"the "back in the garden ...." part

6)the "whoawhoawhoa whatever" part

7)when she snaps at 6:00 "aaaaaaah"

8)the iconic "crimson and clover honey" part

And many more moments that I omitted :hooker:

...just you and me feeling the heat even when the sun goes down...

I vote for number 7. When the instruments get super heavy and she starts singing AAAAAAAAAAAA I can feel my soul leaving my body. Also, the ending with the "if you weren't mine i'd be" it's heavenly  :defeated:

Dazed put Venice Bitch on #8 of their best songs of 2018 list.

"[...] it’s an experimental direction for Del Rey, leaving the listener bewitched, lost in memories of the summer."

Venice Bitch lands at #37 on Pitchfork's 100 Best Songs of 2018 list.

Thank God they have taste

https://pitchfork.com/features/lists-and-guides/the-100-best-songs-of-2018/?page=4

This list is a joke, I'm sorry. #37 is a good position but in what world My My My and Thank U Next are better than Venice Bitch? Even Duck Duck Goose by Cupcakke is in the top 10 lmao nah that's not it.
