I don't really care about sales, but I feel like releasing White Dress on the 5th would create a lot of hype for the album if she isn't going to do any other promo.

 

New song, new video, capitalizing off what's left of the TikTok drama, removing some of the "noise" around Mustin's bullshit, building up some streams before the release date, release Picture Disc #3, new merch bundles, and signed variants alongside it. Idk. It's crunch time. It's cool if this is a lowkey release, but it'd be nice to spark some excitement in the last two weeks.

maybe she thinks white dress is too stripped down, intimate and beautiful to be a single  imagine releasing a song where you're journaling and showing that much of yourself as a single

 

now i know we're all disappointed we're not getting dealer but imagine if we weren't getting white dress for those reasons, given the way it was teased

i've now  gone nearly two weeks without  listening to COCC or LMLYLAW. it's been difficult ngl... especially when it  comes up on my playlist  and  i have to press skip..

 

i just  want it to be fresh.

 

shout to to that one person i saw on  here that hasn't listened to any of the songs AT ALL yet. my heart goes out to you and you are clearly a lot strong than i.

I hope WD comes this week because seriously ... the last single got released on January 12 and we got no actual promo since that, apart from the Mojo interview.

It would have been much better to release the single on the 26th, because I don't really see the use in letting all the excitement die down for over two month and then release a song when the full album is alread around the corner.

I know y'all are scarred by the whole NFR snippet game and some of you are in the masochistic-chastity-belt-club, but if we are realistic, then a single release last week would have made the most sense (not that "making sense" has any relevance when it comes to Matcha Del Rey)

Amen! Many people here want WD this Friday... but many artists are putting out their single on that date. And as you said, next week is close to release... Last week or early this week would make more sense to me, but it’s Lana we’re talking here.

From a promotional standpoint, releasing White Dress a week before the album makes complete sense. Releasing it then will give everyone enough time to digest the song by itself without it getting too stale when the albums out because it'll only be a week gap. Not only that but it'll catch the attention of the gp and gain hype for the album, "New single by Lana Del Rey, album out next week." Whereas "new single out, album out in three weeks" will definitely lose the attention of the gp from the single when the albums out, three weeks is close to a month. Considering how stripped down this era is, its already hard enough to gain traction. It makes complete sense to release it on the 12th, the best option really  I could see it out this week though. Two weeks isn't that far so its a pretty good time aswell

Not to be a total downer. And yes I'm still team delulu. But I don't think the song is coming this week. Maybe another teaser. I predict the song coming a week and a half before the album release.

Today I dreamed that finally lana on the 19th came out with the album and we all loved it, and tulsa jesus freak was in the top 100 of billboard lmao. Then lana went on a chemtrails tour and I was suddenly in a house with lana and he was super nice and treated us all super well. When I woke up I thought it was real and I was disappointed hahahhahha.

The real question is: where's the album trailer? At this point I'm losing hope there will be one... (even tho UV trailer came out the same day of the album so who really knows with her, she's so random)

Oh, I thought it was only the instrumental that leaked and that someone is keeping a version with Lana's voice on it from us. I have no clue though, it's just my assumption, but I hope Lana did sing over the instrumental.

This gave me a legit headache, even though I apprecciate its rawness and honesty (also sorry for your warning point but nonetheless your confusing gifs post speaks volume to me )

 

Anyways, I do have a great feeling about this album. I don't know why. Maybe I have already said it before. It's just that I l deeply cherished everything she has released so far (title track n LMLYLAW n teasers n interviews). I cant' get over the aforementioned songs, really. It's going to be a stunner.

I think Honeymouns had confirmed in their masterpost that it was just an instrumental  but I might be wrong, or he might ignore the existence of a version with vocals
