The album is getting a lot of 80/100 and that’s pretty good, don’t get me wrong, but it actually deserves more so hopefully it stays above 80 on Metacritic :hooker:

An 80 would be fantastic. Norman was probably her « peak » when it comes to Metacritic, at least for a while. For Norman’s successor, it’s honestly excellent (I must say I was a bit concerned by Chemtrails at first and was scared it would be a bit of a letdown, which it isn’t)

Lana does not have a bad album and I have the feeling this will be critically acclaimed again. I love everything on the album except the duets which kill the vibe. Hence why anything past Yosemite makes it hard to keep listening. I would also give it 4 stars if I was a reviewer. I think NFR was slightly stronger as an album even on the lyrical side.

The Line of Best Fit review is gone... :awkney:  Wonder if they're editing it, or published their review too early or something.

They must have realized it deserves a 90 at the minimum. :legend:

Spoiler

the album is definitely her most stripped down and mellow. It’s very low key, pretty piano and soft melodies, it reminds me of Joni Mitchell meets Tori Amos. It reminds me a lot of Lana’s super early stuff.

The album is a slow grower but i like it the more i hear it, Tulsa, White Dress, Chemtrails, Dark But Just A Game are good. Yosemite is absolutely beautiful.

This will definitely end up being her weakest for me, but i imagine critics will like this one like they did with her last.

Even though i've already heard it so i wasn't that excited when my vinyl arrived, i think i'm still gonna do what i had originally planned to do tomorrow to celebrate the release. Firstly i've cleaned my vinyl player for the first time in years :sass: And like many others i think i will have a drink in the evening listening to it, i'm excited to hear it on vinyl in it's full form and i'm still secretly hoping for a solo version of Breaking Up Slowly, whether that be on vinyl or on a digital release. :nails:

Anyways happy COCC eve everyone, we really did it! :krylie:

@CyberCherry You might wanna warn your grandma that Halsey creates an account to spread of the rare but occasional scat porn posts that happen every year. :shh2:
