Thank you. And the funny thing is I just came in from a long winter walk and the last song I listened to before getting back to the house was 'Violets For Roses.' It's stunning and subtle, especially the "hhh...hhhhmmmms" that anchor the song towards the end and drive home everything that came before.

Violets for Roses got semi trend on tiktok a few months ago (17k videos with a few over 100k likes)  but at least its a good song from the album to trend, Sweet Carolina got a cute trend about the lilac iphone but for sweet carolina to trend doesnt make sense, violets for roses trending does make sense tho

i just mentioned this in the pre-release thread, but even though I don’t really like Blue Banisters sonically, I’ll never understand why people criticize her recent lyricism. it’s by far her best; it seems like almost all of the songs on that album were originally poems that she turned into songs, and they read exactly like that when you take away the parts that are clearly just there to make it flow better as a song. i wanted to give a few examples… read them like poetry, not like you’re singing along in your head

ALSO on top of that, I haven’t seen people talk about how Sweet Carolina is about Chuck experiencing/being afraid to experience postpartum depression, and it’s a love letter to her get through that. that’s a topic i’ve never really heard covered in a song before, it’s so beautiful
