huge unpopular opinion in advance... but BBS and dealer really aren't the serve everyone thinks they are. i'm glad lana released them because it just feels like something she needed to get off her system but the actual songs (BBS in particular) are very messy and weird, i think i liked them at first because it was a change from the piano formula but i actually prefer well crafted piano songs then badly constructed songs from another genre

not the BB slander again  it might be the visuals (or rather the lack of them) that killed COCC for me or the time it came out that wasn't too good for me but BB is miles better for me and it's impossible to merge these albums together for me

Can't stand all the BB slander, especially cause I feel like most of the critique isn't even really about the album itself but people being frustrated they did not get what they wanted.

Toyota & Land Rover ARE NOT Clunky.

I really think the Interlude is cool, The Ex not so much.

But WHO ELSE Can rip their own songs off YouTube for an Official release? that’s literally Iconic!

BBS reminds me of 13 Beaches in that they both feel like songs that both stick out (almost feel out of place??) on their albums and sound like what I think a really advanced AI would spit out if you asked it to make a Lana Del Rey song. Like I don’t want to say they sound like a parody of Lana Del Rey because that’s extremely overcritical and more harsh than I mean it to sound, but they kinda sound like imitations of Lana songs? Or like Lana trying to imitate the sound of BTD/Paradise but make it sound slightly newer? Even though BBS isn’t the same style as BTD…

 

Am I making any sense?

My biggest problem with this album is that songs were literally ripped of YouTube. It makes me think that this album was rushed. This album would have been fine if it had been released as a mixtape or shortened to an EP.
