I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a MAC/VB situation in which we get a hype-building single far from the record’s release. 
 

That being said, this incoming track could be a little preview of LDR9! Maybe I’m reaching, but it seems possible!

Also, have we had anything confirming that the unheard track is NOT related to the covers record? 

 

Part of me is doubtful that Boz would praise a cover that heavily, so I’m thinking this should be LDR9-related, right?

I agree! BOZ seems to know the single is ‘close’ but also says it’s too early to talk about the album.

 

I do hope the single is at maximum 6 months before the album. The trio from May to October wasn’t terrible but the almost year wait between MAC/VB and Norman was a little long. I’d rather her sit on the new music just a little if there is no clear ‘finish’ to the album yet

I do think she’ll ever redo any era, but to get back to more upbeat / boppish songs would be, what I call, going « back to BTD ».
