There are a lot of similarities between the new title track and songs like LMLYLAW and/or IYLDWM, also she re-used/re-purposed or extrapolated the opening line to NFR. It's not to say that the song is bad, I actually really enjoy the production and I think the third act/last part or outro is fantastic. But the resemblance with her three albums is definitely there if you listen closely. It sounds like a mix between a Jack song and a Blue Banisters song.

 

Even though The Grants is a continuation of Sweet Carolina, that doesn't mean the rest of the album has to sound the same. Maybe the first songs are just a bridge to the previous album?

That’s just as exciting then! Lana has always placed a lot of emphasis on her lineage and family in general, so I would wager that she wants The Grants to be special and a respectable homage to those she loves, even more so with it being the opening track! I’m getting more hyped

He did! But he also did say that he wanted the album to be called The Grants, so I guess that it must be a pretty major track in Lana's discography.
