Y'all act like somebody can just whip a song together in 3 days for a movie about the Presleys. 

Then if the song wasn't super great there would be 1000s of people trashing the song. 

Why are so many so hyper critical? 

Is it just joking around, a widescale demonic possession, or just something like cramps? Honestly curious. 

 

As far as the movie goes, I'm interested how Priscila will respond to Elvis kissing all of the women in the front row.

A reworked 1949 for the movie would’ve been so great, and actually be very fun in general. I can imagine it going many ways production wise. I hope it gets released one day.

On one hand I would have liked to see what Lana would have done with this, but on the other this could have ended up being another Euphoria situation(song just plays during the end credits/kind of a let down).

i hate that she didn't work something out but i understand. i guess the whole priscilla vibe/look doesn't really fit her aesthetic or writing style anymore, maybe she wants to move on. it could also be because there was some controversy surrounding the script and the presleys and she didn't wanna get involved. 

 

it was a loss but at least the film looks good

Gustavo (friend of BlackoutZone) wrote earlier this year on Twitter that in 2022 Lana turned down an (acting?) role in something important. This was in response to the Candy Necklace music video with the Hollywood star scene.

 

Could this be related to Priscilla, or is anything else known about Lana turning down a role?

I don’t think Sofia would ever try and cast Lana as Priscilla, maybe a minor cameo role? Again, Lana is almost 40, there is no way she could pass for a 15 year old Priscilla Presley.
