Jack produced great covers of her, so I’m not mad, season of the witch still slaps

WAIT I didn’t even realize he produced that :defeated: very overlooked cover imo (like most of her covers outside of Doin Time and The Other Woman)

Are they gonna acknowledge the fact that Coco Chanel was a literal Nazi in this series, or are we once again going to get the portrait of a glamorous young entrepreneur who everyone should look up to?

I feel like they're not going to do that.

some of u are so annoying omggg

he produced the soundtrack, which means he is the one who asked & chose each artist to participate - so if it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t be getting an extra song At All

ALSO.. his work on soundtracks seems to be vastly different from his personal work or even work for other artists, the way he went about the minions + love simon soundtracks was really quite nice.

also do NOT ignore the way he ate the production on her cover of season of the witch.

As cute as Season of the Witch was, it doesn't hold a candle to her other covers

Lana should do more songs for TV shows than movies honestly. She should've done it more before too, besides Watercolor Eyes.

Born To Die era or Ultraviolence era or Honeymoon era type songs could fit in any type of drama TV show.

Lana will sing a cover of a "popular early to mid-twentieth century song" on the Jack Antonoff-produced soundtrack album!

I hope it is like The Other Woman or Doin’ Time and not Season Of The Witch, You Must Love Me, or basically most of her covers

I mean, knowing the approximate time period the song will be from, and how that stuff just seems to suit her, I’m imagining something iconic like The Other Woman.

the series is about Christian Dior (hence "The New Look") so it's clear that chanel is going to be an antagonist of sorts since she hated his work

Well considering he has producer of the year two years in a row and 4 Grammys, no, probably not.

Can you cite a producer that has the same attention to detail on complex effect applications to clips?
