quite the opposite for me. the lyrics are a bit goofy, sure, but her hillbilly antics are somewhat endearing. i can't get behind the sound at all, though lol

It appears the original chorus idea came from a female song writer named Elysse Yulo. She was tagged in that kid Maddox's pic. She posted a voice memo of her trying to come up with the original melody. Guessing she then played it for other writers and Maddox...then somehow Clay got ahold of it.

 

I'm guessing Lana wrote the bridge portion, and some other parts, just not the chorus 🤷🏼‍♂️
