I guess Lana either meant the two Tough remixes as the two singles though I doubt she knows they even exist lol or when she told Vogue about the two singles in August she probably was Delulu and thought the album will come out Jan - Feb - March 2025 but since it turned we get in May the earliest the singles got delayed as well

Anyways I have a huge feeling that January will be the month, we either get a new interview or the pre order or Henry, Come On Single release

We dealt enough with your on and off about this album Yeehawna Del Rey so now we definitely can relate to Henry, giddy up Lana

i definitely disagree they have a tendency to underproduce when it comes to lana probably because that’s how she wants but i’m hoping for some big choruses

If it’s a stripped back song, production can’t make it big but they seem to try. I want big songs but I hate when they try to make a stripped back song interesting. Imagine sirens with Jack’s production, I can’t bare it.

I take insider’s taste for what they are: their taste. Case in point : Zodiac sounds like an unfinished demo (love that track so much), Dark City is a demo (it is but feels like a finished song), the Chemtrails sound wasn’t loved by BoZ, Margaret is a dud (I thought it’d be so bad I was pleasantly surprised by it. Not my fave from the album but I don’t skip it either if I’m playing cover to cover).

One thing I like about drew, he’s so good with orchestra, it added a lot to ocean blvd, and after listening to FJM’s album, almost every song had an orchestra, so I’m hoping the same thing for TRPWS

Dragonslayer is absolutely amazing, so beautiful and visionary, and beautifully produced. 

 

In terms of stripped-back sounds, I'd like more songs to have the calm, plain production of the non-Antonoff If You Lie Down With Me, which is so clear, so simple, you can hear Lana's voice and the instruments perfectly. Arcadia is, to my ears, equally clear in terms of production, simply-stated, and honest. 

 

On the other hand, I love the big production of Rick Nowels on tracks like the  under-appreciated 13 Beaches, Heroin, and WTWWAWWKOD and the big but somber, twilit production on Swan Song. 

 

What I don't want is more messy production like several of the tracks on Ocean Boulevard, where some songs—like Let the Light In—sound muffled and fuzzy, which more or less ruins the song for me. Why is Lana's voice mixed so far in the background—which it also is on Candy Necklaces and Fishtail among others. Perhaps that's the way Lana wanted the songs to sound; but I don't get it.

When I listen to the OB album over my Mac, the album sounds a lot better than it does over earbuds. When I listen to Arcadia, Violets For Roses, and IYLDWM via my earbuds, they sound pristine, as Money, Power, Glory and Sad Girl do. 

 

To my ears via my earbuds (which are Apple), Let the Light In sounds as there was a rag or pillow over the mic. It's not a clean or pristine sound at all. I can't imagine why someone would prefer such a final sound for a song, much less a LDR track. I like the song a great deal, but I have to ignore the recording, production, and mastering.
