She’s always been a fan of country and stripped-down music. Listening to anything from 2005-2008 was almost exclusively guitar and folk inspired stuff

I think everyone too that fenway song and ran with it. I think that snippet was made just for her tour. I doubt we will ever get that song, especially on this album. Im surprised that yall are saying it would fit bc that doesnt seem like the vibes of this album at all imo

just because the new album is giving low key country americana with henry, it doesn't mean it won't have a few edgy songs like fenway. 
 

there's still hope. I think folks here just don't want chemtrails part 2 which henry is giving. Like we've been there, we've done that

well the alleged vibes of this album reflect a certain person who is simply feels right to stay with, which resonates with the lyrics. obviously i'm not getting my hopes very high but the album must have some upbeat songs. she literally put the fucking trio interlude between the piano ballads

Psychedelic production isn’t happening. She’s shown no interest in rock since Ultraviolence.

I’m fine with this album being stripped back but if so the lyrics need to hit. I’m talking Diamonds and Rust, early Dylan, not “tell him that his cowgirl is gone go on and giddy up”

not that that’s particularly bad but a whole album of just aimless love songs with nothing to say will be a slog to listen through.

 

kind of like chemtrails, she was so insecure about it leading up and while i like the album it doesn’t really get at anything thematically like what are the chemtrails? You know?

Yeah she’s not reheating those nachos anytime soon. Say Yes to Heaven is the biggest indicator of that- she released the more stripped back Rick Nowels version instead of the James Ford version
