From her description, Violet seemed to be a collection of both old and new poems, and I think Behind the Iron Gates reflects more recent, matured writing. Patent Leather Do-Over honestly blew me away (especially the middle chunk of it), and I’m truthfully way more excited about this project than I was Violet!

I agree! I’m sure there’s some kind of pressure, but at the same time I feel like it’s a gray area to tell an artist when something has to be out and would risk having the project being rushed (though that’s probably not the case here since she’s (probably) in the final stages now of getting the work to flow)

 

I’m trying to be positive but this really put a damper on my hype..how you about to drop the video and a preorder and announce beforehand that you’re about to disappear....

I'm excited too but she's making me be bittersweet with these failed promises and silences  (ok im done with breaking down)

i don't blame her for wanting to take a step back out of the spotlight and social media after all the work she's been doing with cocc and it'll probably be a big release but i just wish she would've waited at least the day after it was released to say all this, it's good her poetry makes her so happy but can she just focus on one thing at a time

not when COCC is probably gonna be her last big budget era that she puts effort into cause she never wants to do it again

totally agree, "patent leather do over" is magnificent and i can't wait to see how her writing as developed since the poems in violet (some of which are def a few years old). i am HIGH KEY excited and here for any of lana's poetry stans to get hype with!

I'm so excited for Iron Gates  Violet was amazing and the production was just next level and Iron Gates already seems to be an elevated version of Violet. The surfy dreamy heaven that was in Patent Leather was just  I really need that production to keep up throughout the rest of the audiobook. A masterpiece before its even out , I cannot wait to sit through months of prerelease and no news for this after COCC's out
