Best LDR Musical Moment

Recommended Posts

A list of what I think were her best musical moments

  • Ride's bridge
  • Heroin's instrumental (I know she didn't actually do it but it's still her music)
  • Freak's background vocals in the chorus (and also how she did some of the instrumentals for it)
  • West Coast's tempo slowing down for the chorus
  • Ultraviolence using lyrics from Fucked My Way Up To The Top
  • The high note in Cola!
  • Tropico in general (even though that was all kind of art, not just music)
  • Background vocals in Driving in Cars with Boys
  • The Blackest Day's bridge
  • The intro of She's Not Me / Ride or Die
  • Her Blue Velvet cover
  • Big Bad Wolf (V2) instrumental (again, she didn't do it but still..)
  • Guns and Roses' trippy part of the bridge
  • Shades of Cool's outro
  • Gods and Monsters little piano synth part and the screaming sounds
  • Salvatore's final chorus
  • Yes To Heaven's lyrics

Title. News dry u know the rundown.

Which moments on Lana's tracks are the most beautiful, or meaningful to you?

I'll probably contribute more later on but, for me, thinking at the top of my head:

"... like diamonds -" from Young and Beautiful

The opening keys on "American"

The climax of the Shades of Cool guitar solo, the climax of synths in West Coast

How she mumbles "ohmygod, dizzy from loving ya, ohmygod dizzy from loving ya" in World at War

"there are guns that blaze around you, ... fire that surrounds you" how she sings those words in Honeymoon

Blue Jeans chorus, how beautifully delicate yet sure it sounds

Her use of her head register in Cola, that bridge where she's crooning

The list goes on and on.

So.

What hits hard, and what gets you cold goosebumps?

What are some of your favorite song moments?

The bridge in shades of cool, i love how she sings "winter in the suuummerrrrrrrr"

MTWBT intro, just after she says "sent to destroy" and it goes into that heavenly instrumental, i think this was the moment that made me fall in love with her as it was the first track of hers i fell in love with and gave me real goosebumps

the get free ending

lucky ones outro

.. and so much more

Off the top of my head:

"You used to call yourself The Don and call me Queen Diana
You always make me blush and say ‘shut up boy, you bananas!’"

Her delivery of these lines is the cutest shit ever sorry

Great idea, here we go:

-The amazing climax of SOC, that fucking crazy solo guitar that drives me nuts every time I hear it, with her deep sexy vocals underneath ahh

-The climax of WC with the synth over the slow chorus full of smokey vocals and hazy guitars

-The last chorus of Cruel World

-Heroin, from the last chorus till the end

-The very last chorus of Freak it's just soo goood

-The ocean sounds in Get free

-The ending of 24 (from when the big drums and trumpets kick in and she sings stronger, all the way to ''you're hard to reeeeach, you're cold to touch'' and even the last hummings at the very end

-Kind of all of Honeymoon (the song)

-The orchestral ending of OTTR is legendary

-The final angelic vocals of GKIT

-ALL of Yayo, especially the ending (aka version of course) and also all of Mermaid motel, the demo version

-The bridge in MPG, when she sings ''dope and diamonds'' over those firing guitars

-the ending of MAC, again with the guitars. Also, the part where she sings ''baby, baby, I'm your man, yeah'' uv style

-Pretty much all of VB, ugh, what a blessing to have this song

-The bridge of sad girl. Also, those little guitar ''adlibs'' in the verses are really cool

-The drums in Black beauty (the album version)

-The outro of Guns and roses, all of those crazy layered vocals are heaven

The bridge of The Blackest Day... "You shoulda known better..."

The "I do" in Venice Bitch, after "Oh God, I miss you on my lips"

"Sometimes love is not enough and I don't know why" from Born To Die

I love how exhausted and thrilling the 3rd verse / bridge of Off To The Races sounds

So many highs.

  • "and you salute me, Miss Americaaaa" - the build up to this and the way the background vocals come in is incredible

The pre-choruses of Last Girl On Earth are heavenly

I love the "tapping" drum sound in the second verse of Religion and the mood it sets.

I like the echos in the bridge of Lolita that come in before she actually says the word--love how they switch between ears.

Her moaning in the background of Burning Desire is great.

Something about the Florida Kilos outro sounds really grand. I wish the bell/synth or whatever was more prevalent throughout the whole song.
