i feel this a lot reading her poetry it's all very undercooked and sounds very ~drafty.. which idk i'm not a fan of. some of her lyrics have this issue as well but i mean music is fine it's not solely based on the lyrics there's great songs with lowkey bad lyrics from a lot of artists out there. poetry is less forgiveable.

    drag her!

honestly, i used to feel like that about lana, i used to think a lot of the stuff she says in her lyrics is very self-aware but these past few months made me think that she's actually not self-aware at all and takes herself (and her art) so damn serious and is very incapable of seeing herself as what she is and not try to convince everyone that she's this great artist, this underdog, this loser who just happened to get this careerstart with btd, all of this is very artpop-gaga thinking so high of herself as if she was the living reincarnated jesus slash  immanuel kant.
i think i used to overinterpret a lot of her over the top moments in her lyrics because i didn't want to think she's actually this delusional but i might .. actually think i'll have to see it for what it is if she continues to behave like this.

this just proves my point which i've voiced over her poetry when she just started out: she's not as skilled as she thinks she is. the way she wrote them on a typewriter and like.. generally seemed to care more about the aesthetic of this all always rubbed me the way that we're going to get this pumped up balloon of pretentiousness without the actual substance of a writer and not just as in the content of the poems but also in the skill-full delivery of stories or images.

ikr it's so infuriating.. like she literally wore her mask upside down once (by accident probably) and people were complaining.. yet here we are some months later i-

i know TM is trolling but like her ability to try to get dragged is just... why doesn’t she just wear this mask in her music video at this point and make it her trademark...

nobody cared about gaga wearing weird mesh masks and a fish tank at the vmas but that was like a film or music video recording anyway but our girl will literally just wear it for her instagram live video (we’re going to ignore the selfie moment) where she’s at some remote place where she didn’t have to wear the mask most likely anyway?? to announce a ?social distanced book signing? or just signed book drop off when that entire thing was already trial and errored to success by taylor who mastered this entire signed stuff drop at indie stores without the usual mess lana involves herself in whenever she tries to do anything these past few months.

2020 is literally lana’s artpop era.

i'd rather she didn't, because she wouldn't actually mean it - and regardless of that, the locals have already made their mind up about her, so it seems like a waste of energy

this sounds great but all of this requires effort and no not just from the people around her but also lana herself and that is something she very rarely served these past few eras (except for her art itself), some people have pointed that out quite a few times already that lana keeps behaving unprofessionally but a lot of her fans (and there’s plenty of those pseudo alternative-whatever u want to call them we-hate-taylor-swift-and-gaga-because-these-pop-stars-are-fake stans on here too) who kept praising lana for being lazy and half assed about almost every release in a good while because apparently that’s authenticity and “music not the bling”.

this goes hand in hand with people saying she needs a social media team and not manage it herself and that she needs to hire people around her comfort zone for things like touring and promo and yes we can see that lana does promote despite people saying she doesn’t, that pop-up shop she had was promo too or that little tour she did for lfl.. but the majority of it is always so badly planned and like effort that’s being directed into a dead-end alley that i don’t understand why she won’t put effort into things which .. would give her better promo than gifting her old clothes to the same group of people she sees at almost ever other LA-based event.

and well i won’t even go in depth about why the covid-party i mean the book signing wasn’t just a bad idea but catastrophic.
other than the writer you posted about taylor swift literally released an album and the entire campaign was run without her having to appear with fans anywhere and there were plenty of signed items that were shipped to indie stores without someone actively trying to group all of those people together in a small room at once.

the fact that instead of a small quiet book roll out we got this mess after mess with the perfect timing of some major misstep happening right when people start(ed) to forget about the other shit she’s done this year is just the tip of the iceberg and ironically probably the best comedy for people like that one journalist she dm’d to fuck herself or other haters who have been coming for her for years, and all of this following the critically acclaimed and completely boring and uneventful NFR era.... a kii

Yeah like I said, she looked like a really beautiful idiot
It's a shame because everyone could be focusing on the book itself, how beautiful she looked, and the handful of interesting things she got to say before the event was shut doen, but noooooo
That mesh mask is why we can't have nice things discussions

You don't need to be; the facts surrounding rona are common knowledge because actual doctors have been in the media for the past, oh, 10 months, telling the gp this stuff.

Also at least one person commenting here is registered nurse, so

You are a good member but your inability to accept ANY criticism of Lana even when she's endangering other people's health is quite astonishing.  <-- redacted because I misunderstood @UltraviolenceBaby's post

Anyway Chunk said Lana tested negative, so if the argument is that Lana had already had rona and was immune, then her own sister isn't in on it.

Yes, she's living for herself in a time where everyone should be considerate of each other and she as an artist should set an example, especially an artist who preaches for peace, a better world, union and kindness. It's absolutely disrespectful of her to show up in that mask and if you can't see that I'm not gonna be the one to lose my fucking time arguing with another Karen-minded idiot.

The thing that I don't get is... Yes, the rhinestone mask looks really pretty & matches her outfit and I get that she likes it but why doesn't she just wear it ON TOP of a normal mask?? Like all this drama could've been so easily avoided.
