I'm very surprised by the reaction people have had to A&W both on the forum and on social media.. I love LDR but I can't love that song haha
I don't think it has longevity, but I could be wrong

the white dress erasure alone has been shocking! 

while i do enjoy A&W & think it earned n deserves its moment, the "this is the best thing shes done since NFR album" or esp "since Venice Bitch" takes are rly frying my brain....  idk, personally i don't even think it's better than the title track let alone some of the material out of her previous 2 records  but sure, i still can easily understand those who think it is ......... the way some ppl are completely disregarding the gems we got throughout COTCC/BB however is lowkey upsetting n weird, TO ME. also kinda unsurprising tho bc from what ive seen, this forum doesn't take too kindly to those two albums.
 
 
tldr- black bathing suit, white dress, chem, wildflower wildfire could basically be sister tracks to a&w so atleast pay them their dues  
& COTCC&BB ARE GORGEOUS RECORDS ANYWAY .
 

It's interesting and experimental which is a relief after the last 2 albums. But I dunno if I actually....enjoy it as a song that I would want to listen to over and over again. It feels like it is building to something and then doesn't really deliver on it.

i'm not really feeling this song besides the second half. i'm praying it grows on me.

i admit i was optimistic back in the spring because it seemed like there was a lot being set up in order for her to succeed but like... the single was delayed, the video was scrapped, nothing came of the publishing deal, the press tour was just filled with contradictions and empty promises, she was late to every single festival performance. i'm not even sure i care enough anymore to be disappointed or annoyed or anything other than just entertained by the pure spectacle of it all. i understand that sometimes things don't go as planned but the constant false starts are starting to get hilarious, 9 years and this woman still hasn't learned to keep her cards closer to her chest
