It's not fair, but even calling someone 'beautiful' is objectifying someone, so where do you draw the line? We all objectify and contradict each other at the end of the day. Not only that, but unfortunately she's a female and very good looking celebrity - this sort of thing was bound to happen, but I'm sure she wasn't kicking and screaming on the way.

Being innocent is all part of her stage persona though, the whole doe eyed look, 'bambi' eyes and what not. It's total 50s glamour.

Well, kids have probably seen it 1000x on the street anyway by complete strangers. It's down to parents to set examples to their kids - not Lana Del Rey (or any other celebrity). If David Bowie can smoke on stage, Lana Del Rey can too.

I don't mind if Lana wants to get high, smoke, drink or w/e else. (Apparently she still does drugs, but I have no evidence, but idc either way.) The way I see it is, she's her own person and I know loads of people who do that sort of thing but I still love them. And anyway, she should live her life however she likes.

This really bothers me because she said in an interview a couple years ago how much she loved Eminem. I can only imagine what it would feel like to have someone you've admired and looked up to for awhile speak so violently against you. I don't care what the context was or whether or not he meant it; it's still really mean and she's literally the sweetest person.

literally who thinks being overweight is beautiful? The entire concept of fat being equal to ugly has gotten so commonplace in society that people almost don't even notice it until songs come out blasting it like "all about the bass" and "Anaconda" and then people dig on them for "skinny shaming" we shouldn't let people who degrade those who are overweight be because that only perpetuates the stereotype and allows it to pass from generation to generation. I know my fat isn't all from laziness because I have a thyroid condition, but deeming all fat people as one mass of ugliness should NOT be tolerated! And as for the whole portraying them as southern and dumb is a whole nother topic

Isn't it stomach ulcers that she suffers with? That sounds pretty painful. It is a tad coincidental but people can be sick without looking it. 

Illnesses aren't always physical. It's not the radio station's place to judge what is wrong with her health.

If the reason she cancelled really were medical, then Virgin Radio should be more understanding. It's no secret that she's had medical issues. She talked about it quite a bit last year after her concert at the Vicar Street Theater in Dublin. It IS a bit coincidental that it happened twice to Virgin Radio, but the statement from Polydor/Universal indicates that she was cancelling several appearances. I'm inclined to to believe them, especially since I'm generally one who will trust someone's word until I'm given a good reason not to.
 
As for Virgin not playing Lana's music... well, their loss. And that of their listeners.

No. She's an adult and I don't think there's anything wrong with posing nude.

We have a wide range of high fashion magazines at where I work, and some of the covers and editorials can look quite stunning really. It's not just about seeing tits and ass and pussy, but also about how you present the female form. Our body is a work of nature, just like our face and legs, it's a cultural choice to shun nudity and look down upon it. What's so wrong about admiring a couple of very nicely photographed breasts with great color exposure at a flattering angle? There's porn, and there's, well, art. Or fashion, or whatever you prefer to call it.
 
Lana has already been on the cover of GQ covered in nothing but expensive jewelry and tasteful makeup, and I don't think she's the type to pull a Miley or a Keira Knightly, but I wouldn't complain if she did. It would be interesting, and she's too professional to make it overly sexual in the wrong way. But in my honest opinion, she's already all that in both face and presence, she doesn't need the full frontal nudity to confirm her femininity. 

why would it affect me in any way? it's her decision to pose naked, it affects her only. there's nothing wrong with expression of the body.
