Drew Erickson produced Father John Misty's new album and the melodies are beautiful. I would love a production like that.
 
 
 
 

But it's Lana, she would make sure that a title with that much cuntiness and but also depth won't flop  It lowkey reminds me of a title of a revenge song.

Wondered this too!! feel like it would have been real easy for Variety to add ‘Tough’ as one of their hit songs of the year since Lana & Quavo were both present & would have been a good press moment— it felt off/strangewhen Lana deleted all the Tough/Quavo photos from her feed

My takeaway from her speech isn’t that she’s “acting like” she was a nobody, making dud albums before meeting Jack. The night was about celebrating Jack and his work, and she shared personal insight into how he has influenced her both personally and professionally. It’s not a stretch to say he gave her a major confidence boost and injected her career with the energy it needed. Lust for Life marked a turning point with critics, but their collaboration on NFR elevated her career to an entirely new level. I think it’s great that she’s had longstanding creative relationships with different producers over time. Rick was obviously a major influence, and Jack, too, has left a significant mark. As she continues to evolve, I’m sure there will be more collaborators who help her bring her stories to life.

She didn’t say she was nothing before Jack, but everyone here knows how he helped her to open paths to the general public and music industry, that’s all. There’s no problem with that. 

My point is that she's THE Lana Del Rey and she needs to stop acting like she was nothing before they crossed paths--he did not elevate her art to a so-called God-tier level all on his own, to the point where she cannot envision a future without him on board.
 
She needs to give herself more credit, and also more credit to past collaborators. Jack Antonoff did not make Lana Del Rey. That's all.

She's muffling Lana's vocals and all instruments except the acoustic guitar as we speak.

i wish she would write cute christmas songs like sabrina carpenter and ariana grande did! it doesn’t have to be that girly pop style bc that’s not her style, but i would love for her to release a simple christmas song that’s NOT a cover.

Right??? Like, hate the track all you want, honestly. No problem at all! Loathe it.
 
But the constant criticism of this single based on "poor performance" and "flopping" automatically discretis anyone who says so..
 
We're lucky Tough got Lana back on the radio and the Billboard hot 100 when none of her last three records did. NONE. Not one single charted.
 
Tough has certainly fulfilled its purpose for this year, and like it or not, it did really well as far as LDR singles go. It's still doing 366,000 streams on Spotify daily, which is two times more than Snow on the Beach,  three times more than what OB and AW are doing, and ten times more than The Grants. Also, 13 times more than Arcadia. Meanwhile, Blue Banisters (the single) is getting a measly 23,000 streams per day, and White Dress even less, which means Tough is doing about 16 times better.
 
So, again, diss Tough all you want. But if you're calling that track a flop, what does that make her other singles this decade? Get real.

We deserve more information about the album from her after 6 stadium shows sold out in one day. Make an album trailer with that money and announce the pre-order.

I hope the album has some big songs,  some of her best…because it would be a wasted opportunity to have a stadium tour in one of her biggest markets and not capitalise on it, and instead release some very laid back BB piano songs.  

The title has really grown on me. It’s like she has shifted her perspective from “when’s it going to be my turn, don’t forget me” on Tunnel to “fuck it, who cares, the right person will stay”. I’m excited to see the narrative and themes on this album but so far I’m expecting a way more light hearted, stripped back, sonic soundscape. Something sunny and mostly happy which will be great for a pre-summer release. 

Any US people have experience traveling overseas to see concerts?
