the new version is beautiful. It’s what I imagined the OG was gonna sound like. So glad we finally have this 🩷 I don’t care what part of her voice she is using or not it sounds perfect.

I feel like there's too much effect/filter on Lana's voice, which is probably why some people said it sounds like AI. 
Regardless, it's a cute song.

i’m convinced some people on this website are hard of hearing  lana is full on singing the second chorus with taylor barely being there for background vocals and her deep voice overpowers taylor but y’all are still like “where’s lana!!1!!”.
 
taylor starts singing with “now it’s like” then after that lana is the main voice.

it's actually the opposite - it's a clear vocal that sounds like it was recorded in an iso booth (whereas Lana prefers to record in a room) and there's a lot less reverb than she usually treats her vocals with (clear, forward, dry vocal that highlights the melody more than tone = "ai") - listen to DRY Lana vocal stems and the way her vocals got mixed in this version will sound very familiar

Anyway since when did the term "cash grab" become a pejorative? Miss Lana is also going to be grabbing the cash and as she should    Taylor (imo) has every ethical right to grab as much cash as she wants from HER fans. They want to buy the music/merch/etc. To support her. Beyond that, every dollar a Taylor's Version makes is a dollar that somebody else would be making if Taylor didn't stand up for herself. Lots of you guys are acting like Taylor forced her not to sing and they collab was fully money based. They’re both incredibly sweet, Lana probably didn’t want to sing a full verse and Taylor didn’t want to argue with her- having her at all is amazing (Lana also helped write it). I feel like we all know Lana doesn’t love the spotlight and she’s modest.

I don’t get why this is sparking SO many comments about Taylor in a negative way (bring it into another thread lol). Taylor literally listened to us and they’re going out of their way to create a whole new version. This is just another win for us ♡
