Here is the thing : NFR is an intimate project who only involved a very limited amount of people, and it's mainly just Lana and Jack. The chances of getting leaks are super low, unlike when she works with more people and songs are circulating. If something from NFR leaks, you can almost be sure Jack or Laura would be the leaker, if Lana doesn't leak herself.

Haha Eclipse, the most entitled acting "fan" ever who actually teased LfL material (and thus provoked the eventual leak of Love and BAR) and then felt like an exclusive journalist when she pmd him and told him some random stuff so he'd keep his mouth shut about LfL. Someone who needs the fanbases jealousy and begs for leaks in order to function should not post rants like that.

This is what I believe is happening. Record companies are in the business of making money. More sales more money. To get more sales you need promotion. You can have the greatest set of songs imaginable, but if people don't know about it then so what. To promote you go on the talk show circuit, you make great music videos, you get some of your music on a TV show or movie soundtrack and yes a couple of radio friendly songs on the CD that the record company can use promote the artist and the CD. At this point in her career it doesn't look like Lana is willing to do any of the above. Post the occasional snippet every few months is treating the fans like a dog. Throw the dog an occasional crumb and he'll hang around a few more months. A sad state of affairs for an artist who I considered my all time favorite female singer until just recently.  

i just can't understand what happened to her artistic persona and the effort she put into her visuals. idk if the label was forcing her to dress up and make high budget videos back then but i wish they kept forcing her to do that lmao.
i'm so scared of the visuals for this era cause i know the album cover is gonna end up being a random picture she took of a dirty street with the sunset on the background without any text on it expect an explicit content sticker she added with a random app on her phone. i just know this. ugh.

....The other half is a mixture of "why is there no news?" and "she should have just kept quiet". She clearly can't release the album - what do you guys want? She can either give you more info, which she either doesn't have, will be wrong, or will set you guys off again about how she should've kept quiet, or she can continue being quiet which will also piss you guys off. She's already said she doesn't know when its coming. Obviously she could have waited to release music and she could not have given a timeframe for release (however vague it was), but at this point it is what it is and she seemingly can't win no matter what she does going forward.
 
I am actually not much of a fan these days but when I do read this board and see so much complaining its just so old. How many ways can you guys complain about the same things for months on end? The speculation is what is driving you all crazy, to the point where I think some of you have lost touch with what is even real (see above). There are so many artists out there creating amazing music, with so much of it going unheard, maybe this is a great chance to dive into a new artist or genre you don't know and let go of whatever drives you to stick around here and make yourselves miserable.

It's funny how some people are getting tired of songs or snippets. Simply don't listen??? Don't come complaning if you played a snippet 500 times and it gets old to you. What's even the point? You won't be able to appreciate the full body of work when it's out by listening to snippets and released songs non stop. Lana has a wide discography, so instead of staying on the same new songs or snippets, move on until the abum is out

Born to Die invented the word aesthetic. Billie hasn't really been outrageous, groundbreaking or interesting in the slightest. She's just... kinda cute and edgy. Nothing more.

While misogyny is sadly a problem in the gay community, do keep in mind that a) not all gay men are misogynistic & b) not everyone on lb is a cis gay male. Personally, I'm a woman, and I don't hate pretty blondes. I date pretty blondes. Plus half my friends are models, strippers, sex workers, actresses, makeup artists/beauty bloggers, etc. And quite a few of them live in California, actually! I really don't think I'm prejudiced. I know so many amazing, brilliant women who get treated like brainless bimbos all the time just because they're pretty (and in some cases, blonde). I'm not the type of person who discriminates against others based on looks, and I don't think most lb users are either. I don't recall seeing any hate towards Chuck or Jaime King because of their appearance.
