The red rose and garden motifs, her resemblance to Disney’s Princess Aurora, her involvement with Maleficent, the concept of “sleeping beauties” and “the garden of time” being things that you could attribute to select songs in her catalog, and her appearance at the Met every 6 years…we need her there 🌹

Seeing Lana, from Chemtrails, flirting with the country little by little, to this day with her attending music festivals and wearing country fashion on a daily basis makes me think that this project could perhaps turn out to be the best-crafted aesthetic project since Born To Die. Like, you clearly see that she's just as excited as before. It's not good to create expectations, because it could actually come up with something more intimate and simple. But, just like her debut, seemingly harmless at first, her country debut can definitely reinvent the wheel.

I was listening to My My, Hey Hey today and the lyric it's better burn out than to fade away reminded me of this part of Lana's Times interview from last year....
