    Thoughts:

My favorites, equally, are IYLDWM and VFR, easily. Both are so subtly melodic, and their 'hooks' are incredible.

Personally, I liked the original version of 'Thunder' a lot better, though in time, I may come to like it as much as the first version.

BB is one of her best albums, as most here seem to agree. The horns on IYLDWM are my favorite part of the entire project. Brilliant.

I loved COCC, but it was, overall, a little passive. It didn't have a song with an 'edge,' like IYLDWM, though it had (at least) three LDR classics: COCC, 'White Dress' and 'Yosemite.' However, I think VFR, 'Thunder,' and 'Cherry Blossom' would fit perfectly on COCC.

I would like to have seen COCC and BB released as a double album, that is, one album title for both.

I think BB proves that she doesn't need Jack Antonoff; I would have liked to have seen what the BB producers would have done with the COCC material.

I've only read one review, and it was largely political, not musical, in nature, and seemed to want to misread LDR's lyrics, and to cast her as a masochist. What's new? I expect more of this. The critics just don't get LDR and don't want to. BB has some of her most 'human' and vulnerable lyrics, and it's funny how we all understand and relate to her lyrics and songs, but the critics don't at all--I can't imagine what their romantic and inner lives are like.

Lana, great job. Right now, BB is at the top of my list as her best album, even though I don't find the title track very compelling. It's my least favorite.

    Enjoy, friends.

So I never was a Jack Anto*off hater but this album certainly wouldn't be as good as it is if he had been involved.

i think i’m one of the few who adored Text Book when it first dropped, the whole amy winehouse verses vibes yet west coast tempo switch-up - divine - and i prefer the bluesy more UV vibe type of songs but my favorites so far that had me obsessed on first listen are Text Book, Black Bathing Suit, IYLDWM, Beautiful, Dealer (had me like wtf when i first heard it, i giggled) and Thunder.

BBS is completely unmatched to anything she’s ever created before, it’s chaotic and messy but so beautiful (and gives me UV vibes which I will always love) and it just was exactly what I was expecting and craving from her after COCC’s tease of TJF, COCC with the outro and DBJAG. it is so unexplainably unapologetically Lana and I am just trying not to overplay it. Thunder was my favorite unreleased last year and I played it quite a lot but I’m still not sure where I stand with the album version vs the demo, it’s beautiful but it lost the TLSP indie rock genre that it was in that gave it that unique feel to it but it’s still an amazing song. Dealer is so quirky and it makes me feel drunk. the first time I ever heard it I tried not to burst out laughing because it was so chaotic but it was a grower. Beautiful’s introduction and melody are chefs kiss, for someone who moaned at the constant ballads that have been released lately I love it it sounds so sweet.  I previously mentioned my view on Text Book above and honestly I feel like it is some of Lanas best work. this is just my opinion on my favorite songs so far, with each listen it’ll change.

    Just some thoughts:

This album is better than Chemtrails and L*st F*r L*fe, but not as good as NFR, Born To Die, or Ultraviolence.

Black Bathing Suit is a career highlight and her best song in years. Just stunning.

The second half of Blue Banisters is stronger than the first one.

Blue Banisters is lowkey her worst title track to date, don't @ me.

Wildflower Wildfire remains the best one of the four pre-release singles.

Why is Miles Kane not credited as a featured artist on Dealer nnn?

I'm so happy she put Thunder and Living Legend on the album.

The correct Holy Trinity of this album is Black Bathing Suit, Thunder, and Living Legend.

In conclusion: She fucking did it again!

Imagine the meltdown when Complex rates "Blue Banisters" > 8/10
Anway, does Spin hate her after that "go fuck yourself" incident tho?

I remember her saying about COCC that it needs one more defining song like Dealer to get it to the place it needs to be at and I feel like Dealer had that exact effect on BB. The song just makes the album as a whole so much more interesting & special imo.

Jacks production blends everything together. It's hard to make out details in COCC.

But then again I stand by NFR.
It's her best album hands down ..

Lemme escape before HM fans come for me

Yes it's Lana who wants that sound.  But I enjoy the piano on this album way more than on the two past albums if I'm being honest. The piano sounds so beautiful & interesting on this album!!
