    Release date tea:

The boy that said he knew someone at the label and spilled the secret show tea just made a joke on Twitter where he bleeped out the date as “** de **********”.

September is the only month in Spanish with ten letters, followed with the fact lana said two months in June, so mid to late September release.

I’ve also met him irl and he’s a nice guy. I don’t think he would have any reason to lie.

Can she not... just release the album in two months and be done with it. I feel like I’ve already heard more than half the songs on the album

You took the two months thing out of context
At the Ireland festival castle concert
This puta is a candle in the wind
    She's bored, she's lying, she's in slumber
Kinda girl who's gonna make you wonder
Where she's and her album's been

You lose your way? Don't take her hand
She'll tell you lies about release date once and twice again
NFR's too far, not where you are, she has no plan
    You - Lana stan
    Lana stan

I guess we are closer than ever to maybe finding out the truth about this damn record but I can't help but feel things have come to a complete standstill. Buzz is long dead, there is nothing to keep anyone excited anymore, snippets used to give me hope and now I consider listening to them and immediately think "nah, im good". I still think this could be a great record, but the hype has truly been killed off for me and I've reached a kind of "Lets get this over with" phase.

Life is hard and channeling hope into looking forward to something is an easy way to make things feel better. I'm certain I'm not the only one who made this album their current "something" to look forward to and the fact that it has been (seemingly) handled so carelessly feels like a slap in the face for caring about it. And inb4 someone mentions going outside and focusing on other stuff and acting all high and mighty, realize we haven't made this album and its wait our life, it was meant to be something fun and beautiful to look forward to that would help us get through the bullshit slog that humans have turned life into. Ironically the wait for the album now feels like a bullshit slog itself.

I summoned a demon to convince Jacking Antonoff to hand over the wav files, ladies. I have the album, it's 14 tracks including the interlude. I've never heard anything more beautiful. The production is spare but when it goes it goes the fuck off. Doin Time is not on it, there are no features, and Hope has an alternate version with diff lyrics and production. I will send it to anyone for only $666 and a signed copy of your firstborn. DM me your bank account info, thanks!

I think it's very much about her current life, about reflecting the past and still wanting to change. I think she'll reveal her inner thoughts in a honest way and just tell her listeners who she is. Which I think is very brave of her, because I think a lot of us don't want to be vulnerable or can tell someone we know that "no, I'm not ok actually" instead of automatically replying "I'm fine, how are you?", so I think this is why she described she songs as "deep, introspective, sad girl shit". I mean, I began to write down my thoughts in a notebook earlier this year and it's really hard, both to write the thoughts down and go back and read them again. It hurts.
Also, I think her poems really show us her inner monologues and thoughts. They're ordinary, not about anything in particular, and I think she was right to not wanting to call them as poems exactly - because they really look like just some random thought from a random moment. Maybe that's why I don't get them or like them in particular, I don't understand what she wants to say or why she wants to share them. Because her fans wants to read them? Maybe.
Anyway. I wouldn't expect to hear her sing about things she has sung in previous albums if I were you, I think she's really coming with something different this time while still being herself. I'm excited to hear the album.

--- Why I'm thinking NFR will be about everyday life, past memories and the will to change:
    - Her way of writing lyrics has changed. I think that many songs on this album are similar to the way she writes her poems - they're not neccessaarily painting an image or idea anymore or telling an interesting story (like Salvatore, OTTR, Florida Kilos, and even older ones like Boarding School, JFK, Gramma), she's simply writing her thoughts as they are right now in her life. And I think she's trying to be honest and straight forward to the person she's "talking" to: "there's things I wanna say to you", "I said, don't be a jerk, don't call me a taxi", "if you weren't mine I'd be jealous of your love", "goddamn, man child".
    - How To Disappear is very much remembering old memories, which isn't exactly new of her. You can even hear it in Hope ("... spilling my guts with the Bowery bums is the only love I've ever known"). But I'm thinking that maybe she's done looking back at old romances with rosy glasses and instead see them for what they mostly were, bad for her. I get this feeling from her live performances ("and it wasn't even that good!" about G-Easy's album, "'if I get a little prettier, can I be your baby?' - fuck that", "'I think I'll miss you forever' - haha, or maybe not")
    - Lana seems to want to change herself and her life. She meets new friends, she tries new things, she's finally doing things she's been wanting to do (writing poetry, taking flight lessons etc) and change is such an important thing to her right now, she even made a song about it and put it on LFL. Change doesn't come easily and I think she's still trying to become someone else, a better version of herself or a truer version. I think she wants to let go of her past and create a new life. "Fresh outta fucks forever", and also that her date thought she was just a sad girl ("you took my sadness out of context").

What if NFR’s cover is the Mariner’s single artwork? At first, I wasn’t a fan of the picture but after teasing the songs + shedding her glam image over the last 9 months I think it fits the NFR mood perfectly.

Okay ladies so this Charlie’s Angels thing is giving me hope that this mess of an era could still be successful. Here is my ideas for how the era goes from now on:
Charlie’s Angels single drops. It sounds pretty radio friendly and usually soundtrack leads do well so let’s assume it goes Top 10 (not unrealistic considering how Ariana has slayed the charts recently). Then, a ‘reliable source’ which will in fact be the Hillsong priest and/or one of her basic white hoes ‘leaks’ information to TMZ that Lana sucked Jack’s dick and the reason for NFR’s delay was because all their studio time ended up being just sex. Lana is now in the news, Azealia gets involved and the whole mess blows up. TMZ catches Lena off guard and starts asking her questions about the Lana-Jack scandal. Lena initially denies any knowledge of the affair but paparazzi pester her so much (said paparazzi is in fact LanaBoards stans playing dress up) to the point where Lena breaks down and pretends she knew about it all along, in an attempt to snatch some attention from all this. She threatens to leak Jack and Lana’s sextape which was in fact given to her by Lana’s team because they knew how she would react. But then Lana pulls a Bella Thorne and decides that she won’t let her personal stuff be held against her, so she releases the lead single for NFR, Cinnamon, with two music videos. One is the exact sextape that Lena was threatening to leak, and is released exclusively to men.com because gay rights, but only for a day. The alternate music video is a censored version of the sextape. Both have Cinnamon playing over it, with the ‘eh-eh’ post-chorus playing at the perfect moment  Now Lana is all the news and some are praising her for taking ownership of her body, but some are slut-shaming. The Charlie’s Angels song gets a new breath of life (this whole mess has been timed with the release of the actual movie) but most importantly Cinnamon gets the meme effect, the phenomenon which pushed OTR to #1, and many other meme songs to Top 10. Lana continues to ride the hype and releases more singles, eventually culminating in the release of Norman Fucking Rockwell, her most successful album to date.
    Boom. Hire me Lana.

REAL QUICK no matter how much we hate this and the longevity of it: her year long Instagram “marketing campaign” has built a lot of hype for this album. The NFR snippet got over 1 mil views overnight. Every time she puts out a snippet now media outlets are putting out articles about it. Just wish the “campaign” had been a little more clean cut, not even necessarily shorter. Nevertheless I’m still so excited for this album.

I heard about this months ago - Apparently it's a banger and their expecting it to be a huge song.

She sings the bridge and is on the chorus with them.

Music vid is also coming and yes, all three are in it.

Crazy thought, since talking about tracklisting lol!

I’ve always had in my mind Mariners will open but listening to it this morning I can def hear it closing the album.

Just listening to it in relation to the snippets and songs we have so far it seems like the other songs she are more submissive in a sense and this one is more assertive.

I can see Mariners being like a summarization of the past tracks and her growth through them. I can def see the “are you ready for it” being a way to segue into the person she feels like she has become.

Probably a dumb interpretation but I’m totally here for it.

I see Venice Bitch being a transitional track and the second half possibly being HTD Hope and possibly Mariners if it doesn’t open.

Either way Mariners will either open or close and that’s final lol.
