The NFR 3-song video (NFR/Bartender/HIAB) is one of my favorite video projects Lana’s done. 

'Blue Velvet', 'The Other Woman' and 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood' are all amazing covers, I don't understand the hate with any of these fine songs.

Florence was around - and very popular - way before Lana, so I agree except for that. Also, her music sounds nothing like Lana's.
I don't think Twigs' music sounds like Lana's, either, but I can't comment on Zella because I don't know her stuff.

Lana received a lot of shit for that "Culture" letter because she basically made it seem that all those black women she named weren't fragile like her because they are black. That's why the black community was pissed. There's a negative stereotype that black women are loudmouth and rough and Lana going on and on about "fragile like me" made it worst. Then she added another black woman into her list ( FKA Twigs) and whined about Twig's pole dancing being referred to as art by the public but when Lana does it she's called a whore. What FKA Twigs does on the pole IS art, what Lana did was nothing but typical boring stripper pole moves. Lana was wrong and should have apologized. Instead she doubled down and made it worse. Lana has/had a lot of black fans. Months later they are still pissed. They sure as hell don't look at that letter she typed as admiration. The thousands of videos lambasting Lana on Youtube about what she said is evidence that people weren't having it. If you still don't get it, ask a black person to explain it to you.
 
I wonder how this might affect her new album sales. 

not a lana opinion so much as a fandom opinion, but i get a little frustrated by how so many lana fans talk about elements of urban music with such repulsion, it lowkey feels disrespectful... especially considering how her entire debut album was so heavily inspired by hip-hop

I absolutely prefer the album version of How To Disappear, not only is obviously more polished but it has some lo-fi elements production-wise, matching well with Love song's instrumentation.
Also if we had the piano version on the album y'all would be complaining about too many piano ballads

my unpopular opinion is that I actually really like Chuck’s photography. I really like her style and I think there’s something amazing about her just using her iPhone. In a world where photography has become so accessible for literally everyone (you are most likely holding a device Rn with a camera in it) i like that she as a photographer is leaning into that and still creating beautiful pictures, whether they seem mundane or not, but just with her phone. I will stan the alternate cover art of NFR till the day I die (double unpopular opinion BAM!). I’m a fan, I don’t appreciate the h8, but also go off cause it’s all subjective to the viewer anyway and your opinions are valid
