Please tell me I'm not the only who doesn't use social media and doesn't care about this. She's hopefully going to be spending less time online (as we all should) and I'm not even familiar with how active she was. She will be spending more time on herself, her mental health and (for us fans) her music. Really great news I was very happy when I saw this. I made the decision to get off of twitter, facebook, instagram and it is great. I still use Lanaboards occasionally and now mostly reddit (dont judge me lol) and youtube. Very lightly do I browse instagram to see if artists post things about new music. Okay maybe I still use it but not with my face anymore. It's very different being anonymous (or whatever that is)
I'm just not directly affected, so I see the benefits to this. It's very sad for all of you I assume but this is probably a huge weight lifted off her shoulders (especially being Lana Del Rey, I mean damn, she probably just wants a break..)
But this actually brings me to a question,
 
What should we follow now for updates? The record labels?

Simply no other way to say this, either than that he is truly an icon. I'm not a large fan of his music, or genre even, but wow he never ceases to amaze me, or anyone probably. His older music is probably the only stuff I'll ever connect with, but wow. Also shocked there was no thread for him, considering how tremendous he is, but I guess it makes sense considering this is a Lana forum lol. my friends saw him w/o me (shocker) and apparently he puts on really crazy shows. I was supposed to see him & Alice Glass but a stage prop fell on him and he went to the hospital Not the first time he's been hospitalized from performing though

Doesn't matter. Nobody wants to see a dead body in a coffin which resembles her at a glance. Take that video down. I literally did not even care to look at it on dbree cause its disrespectful but you post it here. We were mourning, and back to clean conversation involving her music then you come with that bullshit. It couldve stayed wherever it was posted you guys didnt have to bring it here where nobody even knew about it.

The petition already reached it's 15k milestone. Now it is aiming for 25k!

Annie Mac played it's okay to cry on BBCR1 today and I think she described SOPHIE music how I felt about it too, she said it was very 3D and like a sculpture. I truly think SOPHIE brought so much texture to everything she made, and discovering her music in a time most pop/music I had previously heard felt bland ,the sounds she used were always so captivating and I think that's what solidifies her as a visionary for me.  She gave music such a new dimension.

We cannot let this topic die. Her work, music and existence must forever be celebrated. I have refreshed this forum at least once a day for at least the past two years. It's naturally become a habit of connecting with other fans and listeners of Sophie in a world where she was criminally underrated. I'm so grateful that people like us really understood her gift and celebrated it from the beginning.

90 minutes might sound really insane but there's probably a lot of procedures paramedics need to go through before they can remove a patient from a scene. it's always not just a manic rush to the hospital. i'm sure the paramedics knew what they were doing in that situation.
 
i touched on this a few months ago in a status but when i saw that person who got hit by a car, a good portion of time (an hour to an hour and a half) was spent on the scene. they weren't moved for a very long time. paramedics need to assess the injuries and provide the immediate care the person might need before they can transport them. unless any actual claims of malpractice come from sophie's close friends / people who were present don't be quick to project anger. i'm sure they were only doing their best to save her in the middle of a global pandemic.
 
i know it's hard though. a lot of people will want something to blame, but in reality this was just a tragic accident. i'm sure any of us wish we could have changed that.

Our community is hurting so much right now. Just know if you’re feeling alone that the pain resonates. We’re all struggling. I can’t help but feel that we owe her so much.

sophie was a major part of my 2018. i was never a big fan of her specifically, but i recognized her importance to music and "oil of every pearl's un-insides" was one of my favorite albums of that year. in 2018, i struggled with serious depression and anxiety. at the end of the day, her music was my source of happiness. even though i stopped listening to her stuff after that year, she still had a very important place in my heart.
when i heard the news today, i was in complete shock. right now, i am listening to her album for the first time in two years. i can barely describe what i am feeling. thank you so much for your inspiring art, sophie. you reached for the moon, and now you are the most beautiful star in the night sky. i will never forget what you and your music represented to me in my darkest days. rest in power, my queen <3
