Unless she's been contracted to do hair for someone else, to me this is confirmation enough

Dua stans definitely convinced themselves that she was the saviour of pop music given the success she had with FN--but this album is kinda dull? I think she overpromised the whole "70s psychedelia" sound, because that vibe is just not there lol. It's not a bad album, but it sure ain't a memorable one, it's pretty generic.

The songs sound like concept demo's for FN before they were improved and shaped into real songs. I wonder if these songs are actually new or recorded for FN.
I'm always baffled by artists that take 4/5 years to release a record and then deliver something so mid and boring
Dua Lipa has always been generic and uninteresting in my opinion, but she changed my mind with FN. I thought, "okay maybe she's starting to get it". But no, i see she's still that generic artist i always thought she was. She just got lucky last time. Next

no matter how oddly she worded it, she had every right to defend herself and her right to sing about her authentic experiences surrounding love, relationships, submission, emotions, pain, and being a woman however she wants! all i can really say about it without going on a tangent lol

    It actually is,
I bet she never forgets about them, for instance - that damn Guardian article who painted her to be someone glamourising suicide by saying "I wish i was dead" - if i were her, i'd be mad too.
Dont forget she was smacked by a group of feminist people on the street in the beginning of her career and had to endure constant misunderstanding, lies, false accusations  for her lyrical content - which literally her telling her story.

and by saying "worse than most peoples" i think she's referring to her life story, her childhood, upbringing and stuff (you know, her family trauma and drama between her mom that she talked about in Fingertips, Wildflower Wildfire, hope, violet, those institution stories, her allegedly *might* have been physically/emotionally ab*sed by men etc.), she just want to have a right to tell her stories in her music without anyone to crucify her, villainize her, telling lies about her, miswording her, etc. She just want her stories in the music to be valuated and respected like her peers, that's all.

A turtlenecks is a (usually) think piece of clothing that covers your entire torso and neck.

I think she means she was told she had to cover her story/herself up. Every time she tired to ‘tell her story’ they attacked her and told her to be quiet so she felt like she had to cover it all up otherwise there would be a million and one think pieces about her

it’s crazy that Lana fans still think she’s some unknown indie artist while headline Coachella and having one of the longest charting billboard albums
