I confess I'm a little worried on whether the Interlude fits the general mood of the album. Having that fire ass trap beat in the midst of emotional ballads and soft rock songs might throw some people off. I need to know how Black Bathing Suit sounds like... like what even can follow that?

I got the discless Solar Power Music Box today and it’s so beautiful. I didn‘t expect this album would become my AOTY 2021. This piece of music feels like a magical endless summer.

this album has really grown on me since its release, and i find myself appreciating it more with every listen. initially i had trouble locking into the melodies, but repeated listens has born lots of fruit regarding that. also, my blue vinyl arrived today (gorgeous!) and after i put it on my gf (only a very casual lorde listener, though she went with me to the melodrama tour) was like, wait, why does everyone hate this? its really good!

so, now I enjoy this record quite a lot! Can't believe insiders really called it "unlistenable". Not that bad at all. Imo, that is.
Still, I hate the cover though and the title track is probably my least fav. It just doesn't click with me. Other than that: thank you miss Lorde 

Mood Ring would've been my SOTY if White Dress didn't exist

The more I listen to Oceanic Feeling, the more I feel blown away by it.
Truly a career highlight which will sadly get often overlooked, but I won't ever forget it, I'll post about in on LB once a week, post a fragment on my IG story nobody watches, even sing it to my cats in the future 

The way Mood Ring is lowkey a devastatingly sad song and no one really recognizes that.  

I actually love Solar Power! It’s a very calm, subdued, and mellow album. I love a warm and entranced guitar, so she really got me with the overall relaxed atmosphere of the record - perfect for the end of a west coast summer <3

I was amazed by HFK at the time of its release but it really has aged like milk for me. Now I’m really fascinated with the new album and I hope this is not the case with this one!

About a week later and the album has really grown on me. Enjoying it almost daily. Didn't really like Ocean Feeling at first, but now I think it's... yeah boppy 

i relistened to the first half of the album yesterday and it was a lot better than my first listen. this album id a grower i guess

if she’s dropping a follow up it better sound like oceanic feeling, hold no grudge & the bridge of fallen fruit

i mean if she wants to bury her career in a row... dont get me wrong, i loved this album but critically its her worst one.
 
also didnt she said on that unboxing video that those who bought the music box gain free access to a website where she will, prospectively, release bonus content like tracks?

i absolutely agree on this, his fiona apple review was all over the place and he clearly didn't bother reading the lyrics twice, and the same happened with many more female singers, but i do think he raised some good points when it comes to how the satire on SP falls flat 
 
 

He’s improved somewhat but he has still given female artists ridiculous scores, if you look at the type of male artists getting 8-9s it says it all.  He just isn’t a fan of female singers. 

I actually think it has very good production and instrumentation and that sudden shift mid song ? what songs are better then in your opinion ? 
 As expected from the misogynist, no way is the album that bad you’d have to lack knowledge about production and instrumentation - oh way he does lack musical knowledge!
