why do they let people sell fake coke necklaces to a point where you cant even be sure whether youre buying a real or bootleg one for 400$ but a fanmade vinyl w/ no profit made is the problem... self righteous whores

bitch you’re delusional all they said was that they didn’t like the music, publicly calling someone a cunt is an appropriate “clapback”now?

how many artists get critiqued on the daily and manage to not namesearch and harrass fans 💀 like i’ve been a diehard fan of this woman for a decade and it would be frustrating to be in her position but she was immature and unprofessional today… the world will go on and there’s no need for fans to do mental gymnastics trying to justify her behaviour let’s all just say yikes and carry on streaming

Do you expect it to be massively successful just being it’s mainstream pop realness?
Im sorry but that is NOT how the music industry works lol

I will stand by the statement that if Good Ones was released by Dua or The Weeknd it would’ve went #1 on pop radio and top 10 on the hot 100

its all up the the way a label promotes music

I can't believe what I've been reading on here.
I love Charli,  but who the fuck is she (or anyone) to put anyone in their place for not liking music...?

Charli is an artist, she is selling a product. I for one think the product has been pretty bad and generic and no, the "concept" does not excuse it so please stop making massive jumps in logic as to why Charli making bad music is AkShUlLy intentional and brilliant.

If you don't think someone with millions of followers hounding a stan account who respectfully stated their opinion with double digit tweets isn't irrational or misguided then you need to wake up. We all know Charli lashing out ISNT just about the lukewarm reaction to the singles. She just went through a breakup, there's a lot of money on the line for this era, and a lot of people have high expectations for her. She seems down and aloof in interviews. and did she not say she was leaving Twitter?

Charli is millionaire, she is clearly confident in her abilities so seeing some of you coddle her as if she's a child who hasn't been making music for over 10 years is hilarious. Do you think people were being nice about Fancy? I love it? Break The Rules?

Lastly, the internalized homophobia and vitriol some of you bravely exhibit and parade around as if the LGBT community weren't the ones supporting her post-sucker is truly unbecoming. It wasn't that long ago when she said "LGBT member and ally!!" in a write up to promote that piece of shit single.

good ones was a very strong start to the era but i mean… new shapes, beg for you, and baby all clearly struggled in the budget department. i honestly don’t think control has anything to do with it, she’s been very clear about her vision and her choices for this era. she’s just not a radio darling in the way that dua/doja/ariana are and atlantic isn’t willing to invest in her like they should because they’re afraid they won’t see that money back. i’ve said this before but it ties into why she was doing that NFT thing, she’s said she funds a lot of her work herself and the label is obviously not willing to step up. but then when she does what she needs to do in order to deliver an era she is proud of her own fans try to get her cancelled over some dumb shit.

the fact that the songs are short is the most obvious issue but i do think there are other areas some of them fall flat. like others have said, they’re a little lacking in the funk department. the production is not quite as punchy as i would like. but it’s really not that big of a deal so i’ve kept my mouth shut about this, other people have done different

people should think about the shit Charli has been through

and i’m talking about EVERYTHING. the XCX World scandal, her fans non stop annoying her about Taxi, her label not believing her vision so she had to fund N1A and Pop2 herself and call it a mixtape, losing her friend SOPHIE, the break up with Huck after the whole HIFN process (where she was very transparant about her mental issues as well)….

she’s a human too. people have been asking her to release a pop album. she’s doing that now and doing a good job in my opinion, but if you don’t like it, give her a f*** break and state it as your opinion instead of being blatantly rude and then go cry if she bites back for once

wtffff as if that's any of their business?! Who do they think they are, kings of the world? Sweden and Finland can do whatever the hell they want. What kind of strategy is that now "In case any country here does anything we don't agree with, we're gonna nuke them."
Omg somebody just fucking overthrow that damned regime. Fucking muppets. I'm sorry.

ANYWAY apart from that, the German minister for economic affairs said something very nice yesterday and I just want to share it: "In the end, the people with their hopes, their courage und their longing for freedom will trimpuh over dictators. The tragedy is that sometimes, it takes a little longer."

I'm actually pretty surprised because usually my Russian friends don't talk about politics at all, but pretty much all of them have been posting about how angry and sad they are about this, and about how this is Putin's war, not theirs.
Taking him down from within would be sweet, sweet justice

This is really sad, not going to lie. Music is such a part of everyday life and culture, and it’s very accessible nowadays whether you’re rich or poor. I understand Interscope’s role when it comes to producing and putting out music, but ultimately the public, who listen to the artists and buy merch, are the ones that peddle the music business into richness. For a 30th anniversary, I’d expect Interscope to be a bit thankful towards the fans and supporters by making something accessible that’s available to the general public.

The company that makes this it’s known (from what I read) for doing NFT’s and shit like that, so this is targeted to people with lot’s of cash to spend, it sucks for us tho, hope they are cheaper  I can see them being 100 per vinyl tho

Omg this album really is so fucking good, I just had such an amazing walk and listen and it hit harder than ever.

There's such a dark but beautiful narrative woven throughout. It's like Lana's accepting the fact that there's a real sickness to the world, and she's choosing to distance herself from it and be more selective with the love that she surrounds herself with, all while making the themes both personal and universal.  She really outsmarted the critics with her form of revenge.

It's hitting me that this is my least favorite Lana album bsdjfh. It has some songs that are amazing to me like top level, but this is the first Lana album where there are several songs that I just don't care for. Songs like Dealer, Thunder, NOTG, Black Bathing Suit, IYLDNTM and Living Legend are amazing to me, absolutely love those songs, but songs like Violets for Roses and Beautiful are just not pleasent to listen to to me. And then you got songs like Text Book, Sweet Carolina, WFWF and the title track that I think are good songs but they really just don't compare to her other work. I'm never like "oh, I really wanna listen to Wildflower Wildfire right now!”. Also the fact that she included songs we've had for so long makes them less exciting to me cause I've already had my moment with them. At first I really liked this album as a whole, but the more I listen to it the more I'm just :// about it (as a whole). With COCC it's very different. I didn't like COCC as much as NFR but I find myself listening to COCC a lot, it's very replayable to me and I like it a lot, even though I think Blue Banisters has higher higs. So yeah, BB least fav Lana album. At the bottom.

one of the most beautiful things I loved and love about the title track is when she sings "and that, scared me".

from, nothing scares me anymore, to that. to me, it shows a lot of growth, vulnerability, and self awareness, and most importantly, that she found something actually worth losing.

this would be the perfect time for Lana to revive the Honeymoon hotline…with a grainy, almost muffled snippet of a song from LDR9..

even if it’s just a three-second instrumental or something

This def sounds more like a personal analysis than anything else. I can see NFR and COCC being sister albums, but Blue Banisters definitely stands on its own, both lyrically and sonically.
