i loved the Melon review, agree with everything, I Finally Understand is the only smudge on this album. I LITERALLY never skip any Charli song that comes up, so this is the first song that's a skip for me from her.

I Can Fly and Big Eyes are weak lyrically and melodically. the lyrics don't fit well with the melody, the flow is weird

'Sad Girl' is criminally underrated, the bridge:"I'm on fire baby, I'm on fire", ties with the guitar solo in 'Pretty When You Cry' as the emotional apex of the record in my honest opinion.

Absolutely the fuck not. The lengths people go to fuck with this fanbase are already psychotic, I don't even want to think about what would happen if they had legitimate tech at their disposal to that end, lmao.

like can you imagine LIB leaking every time some unwashed twink needs new followers to give their hole pics engagement on twitter, i'd rather jump into traffic

84 on metacritic, her best score along with pop2. we love to see her best two projects getting that critical acclaim

Jack Antanoff sucks and is a bad musical influence, we need Dan Auerbach back desperately.

I’m worried about WHF Bc she said it’s gonna sound like Norman and Norman didn’t sound that good. Hey Blue Baby and I Must Be Stupid sound like generic country songs, and those so far are our best indicator of where she’s at musically as those are the most recent songs we’ve heard.

But then again she said Honeymoon would sound like Ultraviolence and it really doesn’t at all so who knows
Double posting but I’m also tired of woke lana I miss when she was weird and ignorant and thought feminism was stupid.

The fact this thread has 114 pages and she's probably already forgotten she even "announced" it. I have to cry.

When she announced she was going to do a collaborative album w her fans making it with her I wasn't that excited cause I thought it was gonna be a whole DIY mess with corny fan lyrics and shitty beats and all that. I'm so glad that isn't the case and she just made an album while sharing some snippets throughout and asking for opinions on what pics to choose for the covers with a zoom/insta live every now and then to update us.

I'm really glad that charli didn't use her fans beats for HIFN... imagine how messy it could be
charli thank you for ignoring your fans, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH GAL

california is one of the worst tracks on nfr other than like tnbar
  18. boom like that liked a post in a topic by electra in Unpopular Lana Opinions
i think tnbar is more thematically correct with nfr though. she literally said nfr (the song) is about a man who thinks so highly of himself and is self centred and this and that, so he changing the lyrics literally didn't make sense. its not a bad song but i really preferred the demo.

    From her therapist's notebook,

Lana: God damn Mom-child, you fucked me so good that I almost said, "I love you".

Therapist: Interesting observation Lana, would you care to elaborate?

the thought of lana being abused hurts my heart. i really hope she wasn't. it gives me sad images in my mind. i know lana messes up a lot and is often ignorant, but i want her to be happy and i love her so much

I don't feel that embarrassed feeling that some of you are feeling. I feel kinda proud for her. It's not easy to say you don't like your mom, it's very difficult to cut someone like that out of your life or even just distance yourself from them. she isn't perfect. she was probably well-meaning with her post about chosen family, but anger slipped through because it was looming so large in her. as someone who was abused by my mom, i feel very comforted by this post. it's incredibly hard to cut someone like that out of your life and i think a lot of times, people border on whether they should stay in the relationship or leave. i feel like she has probably been in limbo on whether cutting her mother out is the right choice to make and i think it has probably been very freeing and healing to say "ya know what, you hurt me, fuck you." i get that there are better times to do this, but with all the emotions she must be having, can we not accept that some people ARE still working on themselves. she might not be at a place mentally where she understands the impact of what she's doing. i think we can all agree she struggles with her mental health, and i think that's okay. let her struggle. let her make a mistake. if i got backlash like this every time i messed up or relapsed, i would never get better. she needs support. we can't attack every thing she does.

also, this is like 100% projection and is opening some old wounds so please don't kill me for saying this. ahhh now i'm fucking anxious great
  25. boom like that liked a post in a topic by kitschesque in Twitter Updates
Yes to this. I don't think she's being rude either, her words are mostly postive and heartwarming.
And the thing with difficult family relationships (having one myself) is that plain "it is what it is" mindset that makes you distance yourself from the drama of it all so I can easily see why she didn't hold back with writing that possibly about her own mother. It is what it is. I don't think she's overly dramatic.

Also if any of y'all want some tea to sip on here's a discussion on her relationship with her mother that's almost entirely based on fan assumptions
