well, no surprise here, but still a lot of disappointment 
 
i love lana to death and she doesn't owe us a new album or anything, but she at least owes it to herself to respect her own art - if she'd have let chemtrails breathe and not announced fake dates so soon for an album that she's clearly very confused about, then none of us would be in this mess. chemtrails would've been enjoyed and ruminated on a lot more, we wouldn't get the impression that she doesn't care about it as a record and we also wouldn't get the impression that she enjoys torturing us with fake dates 
 
while im not surprised and im not gonna unstan or whatever, i do agree with everyone saying this level of unprofessionalism..... far too much. its not a good look and doesn't feel nice as a fan either.
 
but on the plus side - so happy to hear about the birth of baby chuck!!! <3

Her impulsively announcing random release-dates and album titles and then turning to radio silence ✓ Insiders talking about how she's still changing stuff about the album, scrapping songs, recording new ones, messing with the tracklist, changing the album's name etc ✓ First single(s) being dropped without any promotion and with an ugly ass selfie-cover ✓ Ben brabbling on about she will release nEw mUsiC sOoN ✓ Nothing happening on either of the dates she teased ✓

sorry but i'm not gonna feign being positive rn but if this is all true, it's just pretty disappointing. this is me saying this already connecting w chemtrails, and doin my best to keep the upside of things but I mean. again. transparency. I know i'll get over it, but I do dislike being put in this position if even just a casual fan. not trying to be entitled, and im sure it'll be great when it gets here, but that doesn't mean we're not allowed to get disappointed for believing what she said herself. 

it's not crazy, it's disorganized. and I hope she deals w it maturely, not flipping us off like july 21st or smth. 

some of us are waiting patiently n proper, it'd be nice to be able to see things thru, or at least have things made clear. 

Period he's so annoying, he never snaps at the rude ones, it's always the nice ones.. Also, look at how much we love Mike, like clearly for the most part fans are nice to the ones who actually do their jobs (or, go above and beyond like Mike lol).
 
Not surprised at all but definitely annoyed at Lana & Ben, idk why Lana does this to herself and idk why Ben finds it so hard to just clarify for her. She messes up, he should be in damage control immediately. They deleted the announcements months ago so they've most likely been sitting there knowing full well it's not coming out July 4th and not said anything. Imagine lol..

All of this wouldn't have happened if after COCC's release she had said: "I'll continue to challenge those thoughts on my next album, which hopefully will drop some time later this year (or just Lana-soon; it's never been more than 2 years after all)".
 
At least now we'd feel less disappointed instead of being bamboozled twice.

I've been dying for a Kevin Parker/Tame Impala produced album so i'm hoping for that but doubt

Betting pool for who the other producers on this album are besides Zach, Gabe and the one Mike song  The ultimate plot twist would be that she's producing it all herself and we get Betty Boop Boop pt. 2

I’ve been wanting Lana to revisit jazz for so long. If Textbook & Blue Banisters (and potentially Thunder/Summertime) are any indication of where the album is headed, I could totally see the record being a blend of Honeymoon and Chemtrails (the records). 
 
Production-wise, I feel like it’ll be a cross between DLMBM, Heroin, and White Dress…and maybe this is a stretch, but the lyrics remind me a lot of Heroin, White Dress, Change, and HIADT—really confessional and just vulnerable in general

If most of the songs are piano-driven, she can keep it. I also hope the 3 singles are the only stripped-down cuts from LDR8. 
 
Great lyrics can't be the only thing carrying an album
