i think lana is genuinely concerned about looking like a trend hopper (“four major artists announced country albums”) so i think the country thing has probs been shelved for now  which is unfortunate bc i think it would’ve slayed but i’m just excited she’s feeling a bit more playful and melodic for the next record !!

Lana never has been a performer, entertainer like any one of her female contemporaries in the past 10 years. She is a singer/songwriter. She's always a bit awkward on stage. 
 
I have never felt she was a  good "festival" act. Of course fans will go but that is because it's the only place to see her. 
 
I'm waiting to see her on tour again. An actual Lana Del Rey tour.

one of my fav songs ever, Secret Door by Arctic Monkeys, has a *little bit* of a West Coast vibe bc of the tempo switch, but its more of a cute / romantic vibe than a cool and sexy vibe like WC has!
 
 
from the same album is Dance Little Liar, not quite the same as its mostly downtempo / doesn't have the cool beat switch up, but this song always reminded me of West Coast a bit!
