i don’t remember what it was exactly, but i think someone was able to achieve a similar effect by stretching /distorting a wood grain texture over the pic? or clouds or water, i don’t remember but in general i think it was probably wood grain. i can’t remember where i saw this but if you search “how to neil krug” or something on this site i have a feeling it’ll be in the resources thread lol 
edit: and recoloring the pic even if you already have a color version, put it in b&w and don’t try to be super exact when choosing colors trying to make them “realistic” it’s quirkier when the colors are off

I actually had my first Lana dream so I feel inclined to share. 
 
The new album was one 40-something minute long track. The only vocals were in the first 3 and the snippet we heard was part of it. The rest was instrumental jazz. 

I can't help but wonder if Jack Nicholson has heard this album.

Live stream with Jack was just fucking amazing. Lana's love is solely for the music. There is no other artist like her.

This artist was viciously and unjustly attacked for years for the most misogynist of reasons - it's understandable why she's sensitive to criticism, especially ones that allude to a disproven conspiracy theory about authenticity and appearance. It's very telling for me that she received such significant criticism early on and now - when she releases her most overwhelmingly acclaimed album - suddenly, there's a narrative from music journalists that she's been immune to criticism. Quite revisionist.That said, I think it's best when she continually lets her fantastic music do the talking in disproving the early criticisms.

This whole time I thought she was saying Beautiful Cruiser because it's a "driving song"

I've been trying to peek around to put two and two together.. whatever it was, it happened early October. She was in Rhode Island October 3rd & in New York with Jack on October 5th, the same day she shared the first HTD snippet along with another video captioned "pre-recording dance." The only other significant thing that happened around that time was when she dragged Kanye West on Instagram on September 29th, so maybe there was some drama surrounding that incident that really upset her? I mean, she did namedrop Kanye in another song, so... idk, maybe one of life's unanswered mysteries x
