I just feel bad if her marrying him was a move out of desperation. Given how fast it all happened (from what we know), it definitely seems brash. The entire situation has made me recommit to an idea I've always had: I would be happier alone than with someone whom I was settling for. In this case, it's beyond settling. It's like a contradiction of her own morality. The entire family being Trump supporters...I don't even know what to say to that still. I'm in shock lol.

mesabird liked a post in a topic by The Sun Also Rises in in your opinion who are some underrated actors / actresses.
Carey Mulligan and Paul Dano are the ones that instantly come to mind
They have both done some truly excellent work but seem to barely get mentioned
I'll have to ponder on this more though

Monsters still under my bed that I could never fight off
A gatekeeper carelessly dropping the keys on my nights off
She's visiting a poetic realm here I think.

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion: I hate Love.
I hate her voice in it, the words, melodies, the vibe... It puts me in an agitated mindset that it's the opposite of what I feel when I listen to her other songs.
I can't even listen to the demo. The instrumental is more bearable, but as soon as she starts singing, I want it to stop

Rock Candy Sweet is sending my imagination just like White Hot Forever did when it was announced.
Manifesting psychedelic rock with undertones of dream pop.
A whole album of Shades of Cool x TJF I think

the way y’all don’t know who she is while she is literally on the cover of COCC is the reason why it’s a bad album cover and will always be

Changing the world...put it into perspective she's a singer not a surgeon or any profession that changes the world/saves lives/etc.

Remember when Lana was asked how she would respond to haters and she said, "I would say nothing"? Good times. That was one of the things I used to admire about her.

Although now iconic and instrumental in imparting 'Lana Del Rey' in the public's consciousness, in retrospect I find most of her work with Nicole Nodland somewhat corny and heavy handed and I would not be all that excited to see them collab again

"I had fifteen-year dances
Church basement romances yeah I've cried
Spilling my guts with the Bowery Bums is the only love I've ever known
Except for the stage which I also call home when I'm not
Serving up God in a burnt coffee pot for the triad
Hello it's most famous woman you know on the iPad
Calling from beyond the grave I just wanna say "Hi Dad""
hits different

All of her work after 2015 feels uninspired to me and I rarely listen to her albums now. I’ve overplayed her renaissance period to death(hopefully I can revisit them soon) -I hope I like Chemtrails as let me love you like a woman did nothing for me.

I read a review of Ultraviolence when it came out that talked about the album cover looking like Lana being a patient that escaped a psych ward (and all the songs were stories she made up). Does anyone know what review that was / can link me to it?
