Literally all her opening tracks are iconic and near perfect
born to die
cruel world
honeymoon
love
norman fucking rockwell
white dress
such a strong set of songs and they all perfectly set the tone for the records that follow

I know this was a while ago and normally I don't really care about celebrity friendships, but
It's kind of lame af that Ariana unfollowed Lana after her Question for the Culture post. Ariana in general seems lame.

I don’t think her label knew about Bieber’s disease ridden album coming out. But I agree it’s either early July or postponed till late August or September. I think Billie might be on the slow decline as her single didn’t last long on the chart, but she might have a bop coming out who knows.

It has been said that the song itself is called Loved You Then and Now, and "rock candy sweet" is a part of its lyrics.

Imagine the way my soul leaves my body, immidiately evacuate to Hollyweird after Lana announce this era as "Rock Candy Sweet/Blue Banisters" - the double album.

I'm sure she will announce the next album the same day BB is released

i think this album could be "revenge" in the sense that she's being completely honest and unapologetic about her struggles, the media has always slammed her for talking about heavy topics in her music, for having "daddy issues", and how she potrays herself as a woman, in text book, she talks about her "daddy issues" yet she isn't talking about it in a way where she feels ashamed, it's like she's saying "yeah, maybe i do have daddy issues, sometimes i had a strained or unfulfilling relationship with my father, that's just the way it is" or in wildflower wildfire, which talks about her very strained relationship with her mother, where she's recalling what she's been through, but it ends in a very cathartic way, where she's saying "yeah, this woman has put me through hell, yet i've learned from it" i think her unapologetic honesty and her drive for catharsis is her revenge, but i wouldn't doubt that ldr9 will talk about these topics as well

I think it would be so cool if she did a green + gray double LP variant for the vinyl in reference to the title track (along with the album cover of course )

I realized that I don't think F*ntano likes the "moaning" type tracks she makes
He still has a problem with Ultraviolence to this day, and I know there's been some debate about whether Wildflower is good or not, but that is the closest track we've been to Ultraviolence energy in a long time

I bet she thought she truly did sumthing with this selphie and then afraid that nobody would even notice how pretty she looked in this pic so this is how she does:

So anyway, what if this selphie is gonna be like Andy Warhol pop art type shit and the album cover will just be it repeated 9 or 12 times?

It adds a lot to the song. It adds to the imagery, it makes it easier to imagine the scene, to put ourselves in her shoes, it makes it more lively. It also makes it more emotional; Lana wants us to be able to know how she felt in that moment.
If the line had been “someone’s making birthday cake”, it wouldn’t have felt as powerful. Chuck is not just “someone”. She’s very dear to Lana, she’s one of the people she’s closest to. Same for “Jenny jumped into the pool / She was swimming with Nikki Lane”. It’s not just “My friend jumped into the pool / She was swimming with another girl”. She name drops them because they’re important people to her and they’re part of the scene. They are the people who help Lana with her mental health. So yes, technically, we don’t care about Chuck baking something, but describing a scene with such little details that may seem useless at first glance is actually an excellent songwriting technique that helps us understand how Lana heals. The smell of a cake, seeing friends having fun in the pool... these things make Lana happy. The whole song is about how she got better after experiencing something painful. Sometimes, the simplest of words have a way deeper meaning for the writer than you can imagine.
edit: sorry for the change in size, idk why it happens

the fact that Wildflower has way less streams than the other 2..... yet.. is easily the best of the three? Mike Dean SERVED on that track.

I'm sorry these songs blow cocc out of the water both production wise and lyrically. And the single covers are obviously a publicity stunt. tiktok blows up every time she uses that selfie
