So I love a bunch of alternative 80s artists, and one thing I’ve noticed listening to random albums over the years is the placement of instrumentals in the middle of them, almost splitting them up into a part 1 and part 2 (they probably actually were acting as a middle ground between A and B sides of albums).
 
It’s kind of a pipe dream, but I would love for Lana to experiment with composing an instrumental for the next album. Burnt Norton fits so well in Honeymoon. It’d be something new and totally unique for her to have an instrumental act as a BN moment for LDR7.

I had to chuckle at the last sentence - "And they will scoff in disbelief that Lana Del Rey was once treated as anything but the poet laureate of a world on fire." Pitchfork themself gave BTD a 5.5 or something like that and questioned her "authenticity" at that time. And now they act as if they've always been on Lana's side. Funny. But it's nice that they've finally seen the light.

Same here!! She said she wanted to follow „Change” path and I’m cool with it as long as she talks about the lyrics and not about having piano as a main theme on another album. I love NFR! but I love variety as well.

This might be real strange n like random, but I'm thinking she's gonna b stationary for the next record. I'm seeing like, a faded sports arena aesthetic, some kind of candid, and soft clothes. An east coast feel? more girl next door, visiting her hometown/city vibes

my worst nightmare is lana going back to a doo-wop Lust For Life/Get Free/How To Disappear sound for this album, and i like all those songs lmao idk why i just feel like that sound is almost always cheesy and although i love those tracks i'd dread an entire album of it

Not super related to the music, but artwork/aesthetics wise I wish Lana would go back to collab with Neil Krug for the upcoming album. They did beautiful work together in the past! He's currently working on the visuals for Tame Impala's upcoming record and the pictures are just phenomenal! I wish Lana would relegate Chuck to a lesser role, her pictures and editing skills really aren't that impressive (I guess that counts as an unpopular opinion too, oh well). 
 
Edit: Not saying Chuck is untalented. I've seen her work for various publications, magazines and project she took parts for other artists. For the most part it's actually pretty great! But it just happened that everything she's done with and for Lana has looked so amateur and DIY-ish.

I thought it was cute! I want to get the audio to add to my li'l "Lana Christmas and Chill" playlist with Santa Baby, Smarty, Be My Daddy (open like a Christmas present...), and the trailer-park songs mentioning Christmas lights and silver tinsel (Trash, etc)
