I am once again reminding you all that Ocean Blvd was almost a surprise release/announcement (the single actually was) cause she wasn't teasing the album at all leading up to the announcement.
 
The last "official" news we had were a CN snippet back in August and she suddenly announced the announcement () less than a week before the preorder.
 
There's so many signs pointing to the album actually coming this year (studio version snippets, her straight up saying it, confirming it to Elle some weeks ago...).
The fact that she included Tough and she is releasing it as a single (allegedly) confirms even more than the album is done, cause according to that insider she was considering its inclusion in the record back in February... and guess what... it's in there so the tracklist and album are done and being pressed right now 
 
The only counter argument is that vague and confusing interview which was probably about the sound and genre of the record and it sounded more like "it's done and it is what it is, we'll see" than "I scrapped it and started from scratch"

it’s possible the Quavo song LFL’d the album a bit so now she doesn’t know how to talk about it (and let’s be real she’s never been good at describing her albums)

She’s NEVER liked touring and she’s had stage fright since the day she blew up so if she wants to do 4 shows, release an album, and then do more festival shows, more power to her!

I do think she should have done a show or two before Coachella to warm herself up. Night 1 showed that she was a bit ‘out’ of it, and that was a major show to come back to. When I saw her in September it was her second to last show so she was visibly more comfortable on the stage. 
 
personally I don’t believe she cancelled the NFR tour due to her vocal chords. (I’m sorry!!) She saw what was happening around the world the same time we did (she always has her finger on the pulse) and decided to spend the last month of ‘normal’ with her family, and with as much as she cares for them she’d really want that

I remember on the tenth anniversary of Your Truly, Ariana did a whole special performance and an exclusive rerelease of the album (not to mention a tiktok q&a ). It was epic and fans were fed. All of that for the most mid album ever (i’m sorry arination). Meanwhile for the most colossal achievement of the 21st century known as Ultraviolence, the most prospect we have for celebration is an insta post, if that even… Let’s just hope something happens

i was thinking today how she basically gambled her career to make a complete genre and thematic shift for her second album in order to remain authenic to herself and to not discredit her vision... she truly is a visionary  i fear noone has the range she has

Back when Karma featuring Ice Spice dropped, I was skimming quickly through the lyrics and was convinced that Ice said “Karma is your cheeks ‘bout to bounce” 

I never exactly hated it but it’s just so wordy that it kinda seemed like a drag to get through. I still feel like that about a few other songs on the standard edition. But maybe they’ll also grow on me over time
