I’m not even mad or disappointed because it’s delayed honestly. NFR isn’t a year old, we got the poetry book last month... The bich is working non-stop, I get it. But she says so many things that I always tried to hold on to what was reliable. At that point, snippets and exact dates were it.

Am i the only one that feels weird whenever Lana acknowledges her past self?
Like i think of Lana in 1985-2010 and 2011-2014 and 2015-2020 as completely different people, and she doesn't talk about her past very often...
Like in the post today, 2012 Lana Del Rey was so vastly different to the present Lana Del Rey in so many ways and it feels weird that they're the same woman 

Been (re-)listening a lot to Arctic Monkeys. I can only dream to have one day an album like AM but with Lana's touch. Thunder but make it Arabella
(yeah there is UV, but there's also the potential to go harder on the drums and guitars)

Watch me reach but I really feel like this is Lana-related ... maybe it's a lyric to do with her sadness associated with SNL?
And the album comes out on a Saturday.
He's tweeted a variation of this every Saturday for the past three weeks.

Anyway do you guys think she's going back to her roots sound-wise? To me that video kinda feels like she's reminiscing about past eras or maybe she's just random af which is what I'm more and more inclined to think 

Then I hope you've heard 'Serene Queen,' which was recorded for Lust For Life and then cut. For me, it's one of her very best tracks ever, though I would call it 'trip hop' and not 'hip hop trap.' 

Girl yes but he better not be fooling me rn, he gets active like this when he sees me and wants more food but he is already too fat so no food sacrifices to get Lana to do something this time

I totally agree, this is why NFR is my favorite album, it shows how much she evolved. Her wittring and melodies are deeper, more mature now.

Yeah I still think her sound has far too much evolved from the BTD/Paradise one for it to actually go back (this isn't shade btw I love those albums)

She's random af.

Also, I don't think she's going back, like some have said here before, I think COCC will be hip-hop, R&B and somehow southern inspired

only TWO WEEKS? that's so close  time really does fly by, it feels like it was just yesterday when everyone was manifesting an august 5th pre-order.

Unless the "letter to the culture" / whichever rant she included the date for COTCC gets deleted, I'm not too worried honestly. Though I wouldn't put it past her to leave that up and not say anything. A plus is that NFR wasn't ever actually announced to be released on march 29th by her if im remembering it correctly, so it hopefully won't be a repeat of that mess with the date just sliding by...
Side note: I hope she doesn't address "the culture" in this album, or at least doesn't use that term (like, a song called "to the culture" or something). Such a weird, clunky, generalising way to word it.
