This is completely unrelated to the poetic content of the book, since I haven't had time to delve into it just yet. However, from an aesthetic standpoint the whole thing is really beautiful. I love the images, the costum oil paintings as well as Lana's photos in it. I wasn't sure about how I felt with the cover/sleeve of the book, but I now really like the oranges painting and golden letters. Also, might sound weird, but I like the paper they chose for the book, it's kinda thick but it has this sort of newspaper feel to the touch? It's quite the neat little package. Well done Lana. 
 
The only thing I don't particularly like is the selfie at the back, but it's whatever.

Received my copy  I'm going to take some more time to pore over it, but it's so Lana. Love it!

I pre-ordered from Amazon and mine arrived this morning! Such a beautiful book and such high quality!

Okay so I already have it.
I'm not gonna post all of the new poems because I don't feel OK doing that, but I am gonna post some excerpts and discussion points about one of the new poems in the spoiler below
 

I'm probably not buying it anytime soon but I hope you guys can enjoy it and I'll be joining whenever I get it  don't wanna spoil myself anything 

I’m gonna hop to the bookstore tomorrow and see if they are carrying it. It’s gonna be so pretty. 

I AM SO MAD THAT THIS IS REAL. 

I ordered from amazon.ca and I haven't had any problems so far (they even charged me less than what was initially advertised). It says the item has despatched; I have a tracking number and everything. It's set to arrive before 8pm tonight local time. 

I'm so annoyed that despite pre-ordering, I have to wait about a week for either pick up or delivery Really looking forward to seeing some interesting lines/photos etc!!

I really hope for the sake of world to be selfish and honest, that Trump doesn't get in this time. To put it simply, he's a threat to western democracy and with nothing to stop him the second time round if he gets in, I dread what could happen. This Supreme Nominee is just more proof of how little he cares for others that are not old, straight white racist men. 
 
Please Vote for Biden. Sometimes the only choices you have are bad ones but you still have to choose. Trump will destroy America but Biden won't. Trump will and has already begun to take your rights away but Biden won't. 
 
 

She was the favorite among Evangelicals, and her nomination is an appeal to them by Trump. 
 
I put the trigger warning bc the evangelical group has caused harm to many, including religious minorities and LGBT+ communities. 

I will put a trigger warning in front of any group (religious or not) that is an extremist group, and lacks moderate members. Catholics aren’t an extremist group, but evangelicals are. I was raised catholic by my mother and there is a clear divide between what her church believes and what evangelicals believe—and it’s an ugly divide that Trump has managed to harbour to his side. By picking an anti-abortion, anti-gay rights candidate, Trump is working mainly to win their votes and their extreme views (only 3/10 Americans think Roe v. Wade should be overturned, while 100% of evangelicals do). No other group mentioned in relation to Barret or Trump is as extreme or as harmful as evangelicals. 

I’m really hoping Dems grow the backbone and (if they win) use the House, Senate, and Presidency to brutally get their legislation through, the way the GOP did the last few years. 
 
No “reaching across the aisle” with a bunch of treasonous criminals who only won their positions bc of decades long Gerrymandering.

this. Im  so sick of democrats having no backbone or the balls to say fuck the republicans.

I’m really hoping Dems grow the backbone and (if they win) use the House, Senate, and Presidency to brutally get their legislation through, the way the GOP did the last few years.

Additionally, I worry because with the nomination of these judges—and the fact that this generation (and the future) is moving further away from religion—we’re gonna end-up with a Supreme Court that does not represent the beliefs and needs of the people; and that sounds like the beginning of a fall into anarchy.

Important to vote Trump out so Biden and the dems can expand the court and fill it with liberals!

i never ever want kids so i rely on planned parenthood to take care of that if a mistake arises.
