From her description, Violet seemed to be a collection of both old and new poems, and I think Behind the Iron Gates reflects more recent, matured writing. Patent Leather Do-Over honestly blew me away (especially the middle chunk of it), and I’m truthfully way more excited about this project than I was Violet!

Maybe Chemtrails album is dropping next Friday! That way it’s released and she doesn’t have to worry about it and can move on to the book

These post are really wholesome and calming I'm very happy that she's working on Behind the iron gates now. Maybe it's gonna be a late summer/fall release

I wonder how long “a while” will be..All things considered, I seriously loved the poem from Behind the Iron Gates, and I’m excited to see which direction she takes this book compared to Violet. 
 
She’s constantly in the studio, so I don’t think it’ll be a super long wait until we hear from her after Chemtrails

Listening to Erik Satie's Gymnopedie while going through Violets... her mind, her taste

Hopefully she'll do an audiobook again. I love both the book and my cd. Also her revisiting Violet means it will hopefully continue, where Bare feet on linoleum left off. It would fit so well with the Interview video and going by what we have of COTCC as well... omg so excited

I could definitely see us getting the book this coming summer, but maybe it will be sooner?

I agree!! She called Violets a compilation and if she’s compiling the next book now all the poems must be done and she’s trying to figure out how it all flows!

i hope she means she's doing final edits/putting the poems in order bc tbh i want this book ASAP...since i already know we're getting COCC soon i have no prob with her peacing out to work on this (though looooool, who else would do that but lana)

I guess that means Behind the Iron Gates could still be coming this year! Probably not in March but hopefully soon! 
 
“Compiling” it suggests she’s just structuring the order of the book and getting all her pages formatted for widespread book printing and distribution I guess?

Never done one of these, but here are a few of mine: 
 
•Swan Song is one of the best songs she’s produced in terms of atmosphere. 
 
•The bridge to Wait for Life is one of her most vocally emotive performances; in bridge, she combines jazz improv singing with near-screaming of the phrase, “Feels like I’m falling apart.”
 
•I feel as though LMLYLAW won’t be fully representative of COCC’s sound in the same way Bartender didn’t encompass all of the sonic elements on NFR.  

Same, I could come up with so many different words for it but I really need to see it all together in the COCC video!

The disjointed production really sets the mood when you’re crying over your ex though!
