Her dad posted a pic of Chuck and Lana wearing the mesh mask and said "love this". And his previous post was literally dragging trump for not wearing a mask nnn

Welp The Independent have written an article about the situation now :

The fact that almost (ones that have more than two braincells) the entire fanbase agree collectively that she has gone 'n' fucked up should give Lana food for thought.

Honestly she so far removed from her fanbase rn its worrying. I'm finding it harder and harder to defend her actions or at least try to understand why she's acting a certain way. She use to be genuinely smart and unique. Now she's become a shell of her former self. A vapid, LA so called baddie, tryhard parody of what she use to be. I wonder how the younger version of herself would react on seeing what she has become BC sure as eggs are eggs she'd be disgusted.

Honestly I've had this exact thought too. Lana must genuinely be tired because everyone does come for her neck at everything she does, but if her tiredness really makes her this foolish in the middle of a pandemic then I do have to question her level of maturity, especially for a woman in her 30's. If she wants to be more controversial, there are other ways she could go about it

part of me wonders - and pls don't drag me for this bc i don't mean this in a kind of "armchair psychologist" way or anything like that, literally just letting my mind wander and wonder - if she actually get kind of.... bored of having mainstream approval? and she's doing controversial stuff that she knows will get her in trouble in the court of public opinion and not caring about it because she actually really wants to appear as an underdog of sorts?

The thing that I don't get is... Yes, the rhinestone mask looks really pretty & matches her outfit and I get that she likes it but why doesn't she just wear it ON TOP of a normal mask?? Like all this drama could've been so easily avoided.

So funny how this girl asks her to read "Sportscar" & Lana looks at her like "wtf is wrong with this hoe"
This makes me realize how LA people are a bunch of emos stanning  LDR just cause it's "cool". Jesus Christ you don't even know the right poem's name.. So dumb

she isn’t the only dumb celebrity
& no one has the right to put their nose on someone’s dating types
yes what she did yesterday was horrible, but let’s leave her dating life bc it’s her own business

don’t you have an incel twitter account to be running? wearing a mask and not organising a large gathering with random people isn’t PC, but then again i guess consideration for the wellbeing of one another isn’t a social norm in an individualist society

lana’s not some mysterious figure who doesn’t run with the crowd, she’s a grown woman pushing 35 who literally has been running with the crowd i.e. her political awakening and “hexing” trump in 2017 or whatever that shit was.
everything she’s been doing lately is so obnoxious and weird. this isn’t who i once loved, maybe it’s because i’ve grown up since then but maybe it’s because lana hasn’t grown up at all. she’s free to carry on pulling this shit as long as she doesn’t go on another woe is me rant about how everyone criticises her

edit: i’m sorry she actually IS 35 lmao

My actual problem is more with the book signing event itself than the mask. The mask, of course is distasteful AF and she deserves everything that's come for her, but the event itself should have been avoided to begin with.
    She's so ignorant it's painful.

I don’t think I’m ever going to stop loving her, or stop listening to her music. But damn it’s something new every three months

I don't know if she seriously doesn't realize it but corona is a respiratory disease and she has been a heavy smoker for years now. Vaping is even worse that smoking. If she catches corona with those lungs she has that could get very dangerous... apart from that she's obviously also putting others at risk but if she doesn't care about that then maybe at least she should consider her own health ffs.

Just had the same thought. Is she just being an asshole for attention, does she think becoming the new "antagonist" of the music industry is fun or has she developed a God complex at this point? I GENUINELY don't know. She acts like an actual narcissist this year. Idk what happened but I'm not enjoying it, that's for sure.

You are NOT defending this bs. And no, it’s not her prerogative. While it is true that she tested negative, it is also true that - unless the test had been done literally the minute before AND she hadn’t been around people for at least 4 days prior to the book signing event (which I find questionable) - her being negative is no guarantee that she was not infected and infectious. It takes as many as 4 days for antibodies to show on a swab test or blood test. I am not so much bothered about the gathering if safety measures and social distancing were in place as for the stupid mask. This is so unbelievably ignorant it’s really taking something away from me appreciating her art.

So like ... idk if this has been discussed but to add insult to injury, Lala CLEARLY said first come, first served/one per person yet some bitch (one of the stalker stans) had the nerve to ask Lana to sign a book for another stan who wasn't even there. She's documented it all on social media.
It's not at all Lana's fault as I'm sure she was just being kind, but there are so many vile stans in this fanbase it's unreal. Like, respect what Lana said and don't put her in that position? Not to mention that that also took time away from other people who were there, so it's selfish and greedy.
Also the same bitch has been known to be extremely rude to other stans so I really hope her "Go. Fuck. Yourself" moment is coming.
    That is all.

They really think she is this subversive and elusive figure because she *checks notes* acts irresponsible during a global pandemic

next we’re gonna get back to the discussion of whether this is part of her persona, and Lana is anti-mask, but Lizzy is pro-mask LMAO
