i personally don't really consider lana a pop artist, she's way more alternative to me, however, i would agree that if any of her work is pop, it's definitely born to die, but you can't tell me that ultraviolence, most of her recent albums which are pretty much acoustic, and even some tracks off of paradise and honeymoon, aren't alternative, or rock, or folk, and this isn't directed towards your stance, but i believe the reason why people consider her a pop artist, is because she's a woman, i don't think people refer to alternative bands that are comprised of men, such as arctic monkeys, as "pop", if ultraviolence was recorded by a man, NOBODY would think of it as pop, people would see it as straight-up rock
 
not counting her pre-fame work btw because some of that was most definitely pop lol

from what i personally recall realtime upon their releases then, nfr overlaying into the pandemic, to cocc's exploration and bb's closing, 

this ties in perfectly w what i sensed from the rockefeller snippet, in how fresh, and more active it sounded, similar, almost reminiscent to btd's freshness of that time, but this time, it feels a little bit more, made out, seasoned and fuller realized. 

i've had theories/ felt-synced posts sprinkled in their respective pre-release threads, and have been waiting for this one's release to see how it fits, and honestly?
seeing and hearing the progression and understanding the viewpoints and perspective for a while now w listening then, i've been and am excited to hear what she's gonna share again thru her music. personally, bb's been an incredible fit for waiting in just, general and keeping that space, so for this record especially, I want to feel it out already and see what it might mean further.

I just want to sleep and wake up to the announcement!!! how good it is to feel this anxiety again I missed it so much

however much i love UV and HM (considering how different they are from each other btw) and would like some of their elements back, i love the way lana always moves forward and gives us something so very authentic yet new. i'm so ready for new experiments and witchy vibes

this is all so exciting with her website down i think we’re getting the whole album announcement on wednesday which is just so  i don’t think i’ve been this excited for one of her records since NFR BOZ’s teasing has got me so pumped for seeing what the vibe of the record is i can’t wait  with all the new exposure she’s gotten we might just have LANA WORLD DOMINATION 2023 like she’s always deserved  between this SZA and Caroline we really are about to be fed female excellence over the next few months 

I trust Lana and I believe in her musical choices
