I get where you're coming from, having some element of mystery adds up to the hype and satisfaction of listening to a record for the first time ever. With Ultraviolence we had half the first record out (sans Cruel World). Honeymoon was a good example of secrecy; I'll never forget the leak recorded through a potato, thanks to some random store playing it.
NFR! was just a mess. No anticipation! I hope it's all a release surprise, with no snippets at all, except the single(s).

My main reason for being suspicious of the Sept 4/5 release date is that she "announced" it at the end of an angry rant, presumably for impact. 
I bet Ben and Ed had NO idea. 
Also, as I've said before, releasing on Sept 4/5 is a "fuck you" to the industry because it just misses the Grammys deadline ... I doubt Interscope would be very pleased about that, because Grammy noms = $$$. 
She's just not trustworthy I'm SORRY. 
Whatever, though - I'm operating under the assumption that it'll be delayed af and then I can be pleasantly surprised if it isn't.

Does anyone feel sad and pathetic that you get so damn excited about an artist releasing music?  Starting to feel like I don’t have enough in my life or something is wrong with me.  I feel like my whole end of summer is centred around COCC. It’s sort of depressing. 

I know this isn’t the NFR thread but a few months after Venice Bitch came out I took some acid and went down by the river near my neighborhood. There’s also train tracks that go across it and so I sat like on the rocks by the bridge that held up the rail road and listened to Venice while I was coming up and OH MY GOD. I already thought the song was so out of this world good, but let me tell you. The way the cymbals during the bridge made the rocks I was sitting on Look like water and waves crashing was completely mesmerizing. That song literally took me on a journey.

Just thinking about her awful taste and how she ruined BAR for NFR - maybe it IS possible she is chucking on Yes to Heaven and will destroy the lilting little piece with some party hick lyrics? Hmm what are the best lines she could ruin.
