No shade on white dress music video, there’s something about that video that hits me, it feels like home. I enjoy it but it also hurts because I’m not there  not sure what it is about it that brings this feeling on lol
 
 
but yeah CN concept is phenomenal and I love it for it’s artistry and story! 

I've watched this video so many times. The symbolism throughout, the styling, the way it's broken apart to reveal the underbelly of the filming process. EVERYTHING IS STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!! I can't think of anything else to say about it.

Ps. I remember Lana mentioning something about the White Dress music video before it dropped. Something along the lines of "getting to work with a director who knows how to make real music videos", bla bla bla. I couldn't find the actual quote from Lana. Who knows, maybe I'm remembering it wrong or something. Anyway, the end result of White Dress was ho-hum compared to this. Rich Lee is the shit! Lana should have saved that quote for Rich Lee because the two of them make unbelievable art together.

Absolutely, though George Hodel was never officially charged as the BD murderer and said murderer has never been 100% identified--like Jack the Ripper. 
 
There's numerous candidates, including famous persons like Woody Guthrie, Orson Welles, and May Ray; most or all have been ruled out, though Man Ray was an associate of George Hodel. 
 
I'm glad Lana didn't push the Black Dahlia stuff very far at all--maybe she realized it was a mistake and bad karma to go too far down that road. 

Although I would love to see more of the “movie” shots, I don’t think I can vote yes for an alternate video - I think it would take away from the impact this one has xx

I agree with this. I much prefer 1-2 professional videos now than 5 homemade videos. 
 
I love her pre-2016 homemade videos with all my heart, but she doesn't quite do them like before. We really, really needed this Candy Necklace video. Thank you Lana and Rich

absolutely its time people to realize nfr was no new and great AT ALL she literally did things she done on nfr much more better in her pre nfr albums lol nfr is just good album and not very good LANAS album and when i see people putting it above hm i start having questions - Honeymoon shoudve got the acclaim that NFR got (and the last got it unreasonably because of how uninteresting and boring its getting after 4th minute of venice bitch)
and btw nfr stans are the type pf people usually who will fight u if u say nfr isnt great so im tired of this conversation, the point is nfr isnt the greatest and lfl isnt the worst lanas albums and im happy people started to understand this now after almost 4 years, there is definitely the reason why we had that fanbase split on 2 right after nfr

That's funny, yall always complain about how ''repetitive''/poor her lyrics were prior to NFR, especially on Ultraviolence. Always acting like those songs are, in hindsight, subar from a songwriting perspective. That's one POV I don't give a fuck about and/or don't agree with. The music was so much more atmospheric then.
 
Besides I've had this argument countless times with you and other hardcore post-NFR stans--I've stated my case many times and I don't care to do it again with you here. Love that some people love the vagabond poet-stream of consciousness, more freestyle stuff, and there are songs I really appreciate that follow that path/approach, but I still think that her pre-NFR lyricism was more mystical, mysterious and effective without feeling like she was breathlessly trauma dumping sharing her innermost thoughts.

Great video, one of her best. And Lana rises like a phoenix at the end. 

So many things to say about this, but her paying homage to herself was the most full-circle moment I never expected from her.   
 
The fact that she doesn't look a day older than on the National Anthem music video set shook me to the core.

Yeah I think some people do not realise that they're talking to real people and that they're being so mean to others sometimes. We're here because we love Lana and just want to share our opinions in a respectful way .

I get her point & concept & understand her intention but she needs to release "Candy Necklace (Director's Cut/ Short Version)" while she's at it  I want to see the music video as in music video form tho.

Honestly if she kept the video same with this extended version and minimized/erased all the talking, it would elevate whole video to another level. I think the video itself is self-explanatory and she explaining the concept explicitly takes away from it. 

this is a nice… behind the scenes video  i’m sorry but this made me really disappointed, this whole arrangement (which i think is pretty nice, she looks very pretty and the scenography is really cool as well), and all we get from it is some few professionally recorded scenes containing of few seconds, in a whole TEN minutes video. i don’t really know what was the purpose of making it so long. but i’m happy that we at least are getting something, i just feel like it’s lost potential
